My wife had an appointment here a few weesk ago and this is clearly just the latest predatory diet scam moving into our area (PA). Looks like a franchise operation to take advantage of desperate people.

They supposedly have this super-duper high tech plan to help your body fight fat but it turns out they're putting you on a 500 calorie diet! No wonder you lose weight! Who wouldn't on 500 calories a day!? There's no magic to this program it's just a lot of fancy bells & whistles designed to make you think they have some special way of helping you that others dont. The "technology" they do use is this nonsense gimmick that supposedly takes your metabolic fingerprint, it has been completely debunked in this article from Quackwatch.

Also says its doctor supervised to make you think it's some hospital plan when the doctor is actually a chiropractor which is another whole scam. Oh and did I mention it costs $2000??

If you research Nutrimost you'll see they're already having problems in other areas, so buyer beware.

impressed by latest response from company

I won't say you've convinced me or settled all my doubts but, it was nice to feel taken seriously this time. I honestly hadn't realized you'd established yourself this much in the valley. The Channel 69 thing was cool. Your chart blew me away. I can't believe that's what it really costs in weight loss with the discount ads everybody runs. Apparently you guys are far from the worst of it, d**n! I googled it and you're telling it like it is.

My wife came home that day very angry because she felt there was a bait and switch. Angry and also disappointed because she's been fighting this battle a long time, but don't tell her I said that. In hindsight maybe she misinterpreted just between you and I.

One suggestion you should also include last names with your testimonials, I understand about privacy but still it would help.

I'll talk to the wife again, maybe she'll get back to you. I still can't get my head around NRF but I guess if you get the results. I do honestly feel a little bad about posting to begin with. I'm a reasonable person.

The Facts Speak for Themselves. Nutrimost Changes Lives

AUTHOR: Nurimost Lehigh Valley - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 12, 2016
Every sincere businessperson has the goal of delivering 100% satisfaction to 100% of customers. That is especially the case with those of us in the healing arts. In real life, however, there will always be grievances. I do wish that our anonymous critic had picked up the phone and called us because I can assure you that had he done that, there would be no need for rebuttal...because there would've been no complaint on this board. We go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that people leave our offices happy, even if they don't ultimately do business with us. Even at this late date I'd like to extend an invitation to our critic to get back in touch--not because we hope to win his business, but simply because we want to address his concerns and part friends.

The consumer's time and money are always more important than ours, because without the consumer, there is no "us." That mindset helps us satisfy the vast majority of Nutrimost clients, such that we can boast an almost impossibly high level of customer satisfaction; I'd put our track record up against any in the industry. In fact this is the only complaint of its kind that I've ever received. But don't take my word for it. Instead, I've provided a link to our testimonial page, where people by name attest not just to the level of TLC we deliver, but the results that go hand in hand with it.

In fact, when the largest and most credible new source in the Valley, WFMZ-TV 69, needed an expert to do a piece on dieting and weight loss, they came to us. Not to one of the nationally advertised chains. Not to one of the high-profile local hospitals. But us. Their faith in us validates our credibility. I particularly call your attention to the on-camera remarks by our very first client, Rita. What better testimonial could a skeptic possibly want?

This is what made me frankly suspicious at first that this was a cases of a competitor out to hurt us. I don't like thinking that way. I hate being cynical. But our track record and our profound commitment to customer service makes me wonder.

Does our service cost $2000? Yes it does. But that is hardly out of line in the market for reputable weight loss, especially when you consider our guarantee to stay with a client until he or she achieves the promised result. I invite people to examine the chart I hope to upload with this rebuttal. If that effort is unsuccessful I invite you to Google the topic of "what it costs to lose 30 pounds" through the best-known programs. You'll see that we are well within range...for a program that delivers a level of technological sophistication, holistic-health insight and individualized attention that no other program can even touch.

In closing I would just like to add that even on those extraordinarily rare occasions when we may leave a client less than delighted, most reasonable people would agree it's unfair to present your grievance as if it represents the total experience of all clients. Our endorsements and testimonials make clear that we perform an invaluable service in this market. Indeed, many of our clients end their (unprompted, unscripted) testimonials with the very same statement: that we "changed their lives."

#2 Author of original report

a sales pitch from beginning to end

Oh this is too good. The rebuttal is from "Dr. Eric Rodriguez", and yet the "author" is DLP, which is an advertising agency, look it up. The "doctor" can't even fight his own battles. He needs to have his words carefully placed in his mouth for him.

And what does he tell us, he says his business isn't a scam! I for one am SHOCKED the owner of the company would say that! Isn't that what scammers always say until the cops or regulators come knocking? I take the word of Stephen Barrett an actual MD over the word of the guy who owns the company and rakes in the profits. Tho it's not even the owner it's his ad rep. We all know ad agencies never lie.

Here's another report about Nutrimost's high tech methods:

Rodriguez says they don't promise unrealistic results. They have a guarantee of losing up to 40 pounds in 40 days but guess what? it's not a money-back guarantee. They told my wife you get to take the program over, big deal, which means you keep eating starvation calories for another 40 days. Eventually if that keeps up I guess you either lose weight or die. Any real MD will tell you how unrealistic it is to lose 40 pounds in 40 days, that's a pound a day, INSANE!! Ask your own GP, see what they tell you.

He clearly implies HE'S an MD when he says "doctor supervised" which it says right on his site BTW! You tell me what the average person assumes reading or hearing those words?

I agree people deserve fair compensation but is $2000 fair for this stuff, and they want their $$$ up front? What a surprise. My guess is they do it that way because they KNOW a lot of people won't get the results they "guarantee".

Lastly if NRF is not a fraud show us the documentation. Where's all this proof he keeps talking about? Where's the comeback to the Barrett post? Why didn't Nutrimost sue Barrett?

Cause they'd lose their shirts that's why!
