NWP Services Corporation - National Water & Power Inc Outrageous Water Bill, Ripping People Off Irvine California

My husband and I moved into our small 600 sq ft apt complex, and we were told by the leasing rep that bills would be around $40 so we decided to rent this apt. When our first water bill came, it was a complete shock because the bill was $125.39 ($50 for hot water gas, $41 for sewer, etc). We asked several other tenants, and one tenant who took multiple showers had a bill of $40 total. We decided to use our hot water less. We washed our face, dishes, hands, and brushed our teeths with cold water, and sure enough our next month's bill was more. Our gas for hot water was $54 and everything else was more. That makes no sense at all. If we used less hot water, our hot water bill should be less, not more. We decided to talk to our leasing manager and they told us that the newer tenants had to to pay for the gas for hot water. The older tenants do not have to pay for the hot water gas. So who is paying for it? Obviously, since the older tenants are not paying for it, it's the newer tenants who signed the new leases are paying for their hot water. Our bill keeps getting higher and higher.

My husband and I use to live in a 4500 sq ft house in Texas and we watered our lawn often, and our water bill wasn't even more than $100 a month so how is our bill is ridiculously high now. We only do laundry every other week, we don't even shower once a day, we don't cook so there are barely any dishes to do so obviously NWP is ripping us off.

Stay away from this company. Obviously, I am not the only victim out there since there has been a complaint before. I've already contact BBB so I hope they can help me resolve this water bill issue.
