For $1500 I bought an "oxygen" generator that I thought dispensed pure oxygen. Little did I know, there is a difference between "recreational oxygen" and oxygen. I received my generator only to find that it produces 30% oxygen... which is only 9% more than the air we breath on a daily basis.
I called the woman (Patte Purcell) who sold it to me to request a refund. I was told that her website does state that the generator is for "recreational oxygen" and I should have known what that meant. I foolishly had signed an agreement that stated "no refunds" and was basically told that I should have known better and that I was s#%^& out of luck.
Now I am stuck with a $1500 machine that produces air. Not only am I being scammed, but the millions of people (customers) around the world that are paying to use this machine in health clubs etc are too. Businesses could care less how much oxygen it dipsenses as long as they get that dollar-a-minute. I, being someone who was just going to use it for in-home personal use is at a much greater loss, and so are the people being fooled into believing that they are paying for and breathing pure oxygen.

Both Clients Received Refunds as agreed.

Lisa received her refund after sending it back even though she signed a contract stating no refunds. She called several times over 3 months before buying. We do not sell medical or industrial generators as the FDA has specifically made it clear that they are not legal. Lisa was made aware on the website and by me that the level of oxygen was 30% not 89% as she claims. We do not sell non compliant equipment.
Despite her disparaging comments, the Aroma o2 Oxygen Maker is the PREFERRED
Oxygen Maker in leading salons, spas, hotels, and Health Clubs worldwide. If she bought anything else it would have been an industrial generator for jewelry making and fish hatcheries. Hardly a safe unit for human breathing.
Dan received a refund AND cans of oxygen. We are sending him cans of the latest product. We speak regularly. I consider him a friend.

Dan is a very valued customer of mine. He ordered some custom cans of oxygen. He has
received part of his order. We have had 2 manufacturers drop out of production (one
in February) and we have found another to handle the orders. We have notified Dan that we will be sending him an additional 144 cans as our way of saying we're sorry for the delay.

LISA ***** COMPLAINT

Lisa ordered a unit at a discount. Our website makes it clear that the units are made specifically for human recreational oxygen breathing at a safe level of 30%. This will bring up the oxygen levels safely without any danger of overdose.
We do not sell medical oxygen generators as they require a prescription. We do not sell industrial oxygen generators as the FDA says they can cause some people to overdose and stop breathing. This unit complies with all FDA regulations and Lisa was never mislead in anyway.
In addition, she signed a contract that there were no refunds. I did agree to take it back since it hadn't been used with a re-stocking fee. I also told them that I had to resell it before paying them back.
Lisa was paid off last year as I agreed to do.
Contrary to any statements she has made. Lisa's failure to understand what she is buying is her own fault. We have been in the recreational oxygen business since 1998.

Dear Lisa

For some gawdawful reason there's always "Johns" around (Like above) who seem to troll these complaints simply to further victimize victims. Johns sage advice is that you "should be thanking these cons because their astuteness probably saved your life"....Not true Old Chap.
There is nothing "astute" about selling low end trash. Also John, explain how this company was so "astute" by unloading a customer of $1,500? Further, explain to us how this companies "astuteness" saved Lisas life? They can't sell medical grade oxygen equipment anyway so how did their "astuteness" fit into this equation? Hmmmm?
Lisa couldn't have obtained medical grade oxygen without a prescription anyway so no heroic life saving attempts were made here. You make no sense John, do us all a favor and keep your tripe off of this site.
Lisa, I'm sorry you got ripped off. Medical grade oxygen condensors, generators that provide 90% pure oxygen and ABOVE are medical grade and do require a doctors prescription. So I bought an oxygen generator that provides 89% Oxygen.
It is considered "Hobby Strength".
Email me and I'll tell you where I got my oxygen generator if you're still looking for one (I don't benefit monetarily, I just like to see people get a good deal and get what they pay for) and best of luck to you in the future Dear.

Reply About No Refund From O2Planet - no reason she should not have received her refund if indeed O2Planet is a legitimate company

I would just like to assure Lisa that yes, I too have experienced not getting an order of canned oxygen from O2Planet. An order I paid in full for over four months ago! I keep getting the "run-around"from one of Patte's partners, Stephen in Florida (where Patte currently is located). And oddly enough I only made a minimum order; 144 cans! If I don't receive my order soon I will contact the state attorney general and the federal authorities, due to their products being sent via mail which now enters into racketeering and mail fraud.
I sympathize with Lisa, there is no reason she should not have received her refund if indeed O2Planet is a legitimate company.

WHAT KIND OF COMPANY ACCEPTS A PRODUCT FOR RETURN BUT REFUSES TO PAY THEIR CUSTOMER BACK AFTER RECEIPT OF THE RETURNED ITEM?

I understand the complication of breating pure oxygen and that is not what I was looking for...I was looking for a machine that produced more than the air I breathe (about 80% oxygen produced and then ran through an aroma therapy infusor). I am still sitting here today without any of my money and without the machine.
You see, this wonderful woman (Patte Purcell) agreed to refund my money since I had not used the machine. She said she would charge a restocking fee and I was fine with that. So, I sent the machine back about a week after my first post here. I have received nothing! Not a penny back. Everytime I call she has an excuse as to why the payment has not been sent back and the last time she hung up on me. I admitted I was an idiot to trust a company and "sign my rights away" but this is just bad business practice and and down right shady for that matter.
There is no protection for someone like me, unless I go to Las Vegas and take her to small claims and spend even more money doing so. NEVER PAY BY CHECK! WITH CREDIT CARDS YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE OPTION TO CHARGE BACK.

Sorry, but you are S.O.L.

The website does clearly state that it sells "recreational oxygen." If you did not understand the definition of this term, why did you not ask before signing away your return rights?
I inquired to my family doctor about the implications of using "pure oxygen" for nonmedical purposes. He informed me that doing so is ILLEGAL as machines that deliver pure oxygen require a doctor's prescription in order to obtain. Assuming that you have no medical need for such a machine, your desire to own one is in violation of the law. He informed me that this law is in place because using pure oxygen for nonmedical reasons places a person at dire risk for hyperventilation, heart problems, and a slew of other complications.
Rather than bash the company that sold you the machine, you should be thanking them, because their astuteness probably saved your life!
