   The gentlemen who responded stated a complete lie.

My name is David Wick, Jr. and I am the Headmaster at Oak Creek Ranch School.  I am also one of the owners.  This particular person who was offered a job in the residential department (not as a teacher) was in fact offered the job.  He was given a date he was expected to arrive at the school.  We did communicate often with him but he kept putting off his arrival date.  There were many excuses and we were willing to accommodate him as much as we could.  Eventually he didn't return some of our calls and didn't arrive on the agreed date and so, because we had other good candidates, we withdrew the offer and hired another person.  That is our prerogative!  When you accept a job and are given a date to begin work, and you agree to it, show up!  Regardless of what problems you have, if you want the job, show up!  Had he answered his phone when we rescinded the offer we would have had a telephone conversation with him.  We needed him to be here to supervise our students.  Their supervision could no longer wait so that we could again accommodate his delays.

We do our best at Oak Creek Ranch School to provide a great place to work and to positively affect the lives of our students.  We want people who are dedicated to helping our students.  This gentleman has no business impuning our integrity or insinuating that we do not treat our students well.  The best thing to come out of this little issue is that we hired somebody else who is doing a great job.
