I was able to work out my differences with Nyles and Oak Ridge Construction and he ended up giving a great roof . I made assumptions and jumped the gun about Oak Ridge Construction. I just was uneducated in the Insurance Process. Please remove this report.

 Nyles Lehnen Owner of Oak Ridge Construction is a local DFW Company with an A Rating with the BBB and has positive Google Reviews in all the markets he works. Nyles put on my roof and 3 of my neighbors roofs this year in the DFW Metro and yes he took a deposit (all Contractors do, very standard) he performed the work, gave me a great warranty and kept his word. He bent over backwards to get my claim approved and worked with my Insurance to replace my roof. My hunch is that whoever wrote this report is an ex employee or someone that he was unable to help because they got denied a claim for their roof or maybe they were trying to keep their Insurance proceeds. ( Not his fault and out of his control) I AM A REAL CUSTOMER AND THIS NOT A PAID REPORT! I HAVE A COPY OF OUR CONTRACT FOR PROOF! I am genuinely happy you had a good experience with Nyles. However, I would bet with certainty that posts from clients are genuine and accurate.  My original post is: "#3 General Comment - Additional Information RE: Nyles Lehnen." You'll note that I didn't experience actual fraud due to hiring him, I knew him personally and witnessed his business practices and what I view as questionable or a lack of ethics. You'll note both myself and the original poster did a fair amount of internet research. Granted, just because it is on the internet doesn't make it true, the information I found is plausibe since it was listings of numerous companies in his name that were no longer in business and previously I also found an arrest record.

I responded in support of the original post because I know how frustrating, disappointing, and perhaps even financially devastating it can be when a contractor is not above-board.

I hope this report is not removed as this information is important for people to read to see both sides.  Maybe he has changed his ways. Or perhaps, the positive reviews are the fakes. At the end of the day...caveat emptor.

I am a homewowner in Texas and I had Oak Ridge Constction replace my roof gutters and downspouts after a heavy hail storm and Nyles had me pay half the money down. This protects the company from homeowners keeping insurance proceeds. Any contractor requires money down so the homeowner is not at risk of having all your material put on credit and possibly not getting a material lein waver up front because if a company goes out of business the supply company cannot come after the homneowner, it protects both parties. Nyles informed me that he parted ways with a sales associate he hired due to not following the company policy of integrity. Oak Ridge did a phenominal job on my house and I am certain this disgruntled associate placed this complaint with false information. I contacted the BBB and Oak Ridge Contruction is an accredited business with zero complaints in Dallas/Fort Worth and all of Texas with a 1996 start date. I also cannot find an author for this compaint and when I contacted Rip Off Report they could not reach the author. It's obvious this a misleading defamation of character from a disgruntled associate who is no longer with Oak Ridge Construction for obvious reasons. I reccomend Nyles and Oak Ridge Construction to anyone who wants a quality job. His Angies list reviews also show that he does quality work and services the Companies Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty. I called Rip Off Report and they informed me that this is in arbitration and will be removed shortly.

Nyles lehnen is a big rip off artist do not trust oak ridge construction they will steal your money and do a crappy job you. Cannot depend on this company they did my dad,s roof and gutters and it was worst job I have ever seen he has been pulling scams like this from Texas to Illinois to Georgia Lincoln who knows where else stay away from this company even a friend that work for him a long time ago even though he,s bad news 

I knew Nyles Lehnen for a short time in early 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia.  Prior to moving to Atlanta I believe he was in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.  I don't know if he started companies in those states.

The company he started in Georgia was called Atlanta Restoration, which eventually morphed into Patriot Restoration.  In fact, my friend helped Nyles with his logo design, so that he would have a vector file,which is used on websites. The logo was of an eagle's head.  At the time, Nyles said his mother was his webmaster.  I also helped Nyle's buy supplies for packets he wanted to hand out to customers and did most of the typing, formatting and printing of said folders.  I foolishly LOANED the man $400.00 as well, which he has never repaid, even though I have tried to contact him several times.

With Atlanta Restoration, he wanted to put a BBB logo on his handouts and website without actually being accredited by the BBB. I advised him he couldn't do that because it was fraud. 

He came to Georgia because there had been awful hail/storm damage.  It was the worst in the Cabbagetown area of Atlanta, so that was his target. I'm not sure how long his Atlanta companies were actually in business.

Regarding the money he owes me, I spoke with a man, in 2010, who was an employee of Nyles' at the time, named James Martin, who said the situation would be handled and the money would be sent via money order (which was my request).  Of course, this never happened. Mr. Martin stated he was Nyles' business manager, which is odd since his online resume stated he was a paralegal.

I also corresponded, via telephone and email, regarding this money with another employee who answered one of the phone numbers I found for Nyles during his time in Indiana.  This gentlemen, whose name I believe was Rick, said Nyles' practices with employees were such that he would promise they would make X amount of money if they would find customers for him.  What would happe is he would work with the customers and not pay the sales staff a fraction of what he promised, if he paid them at all.

He is extremely unethical. His practices are exactly as you describe.  There have even been complaints on Ripoff Reports in the past stating that he would go up onto roofs and cause some of the damage himself, to show the homeowner the issues.

Prior to moving to Atlanta I believe he was in both Las Vegas and Los Angeles.  I don't know if he started companies in those states.

Since at least 2010, I have kept my eye on Nyles' via internet.  Not because I want to know the man, but because of how shady he is.  Your report stated he has had 3 companies in the last 5 years.  He has actually been associated with at least 12 companies in 8 states since 2008.  I have a list of company names, addresses, websites and phone numbers.  Some of the websites are now defunct and phone numbers are disconnected. In fact, I'm sure most of the companies have been closed as he moves from state-to-state.

I also have a screen shot of a Google page, which shows a list of websites in 2013 that Nyles set up to try to show he was a "Successful" and "Effective" business man.  I replied to one of these "blogs," and he, of course, took down my comments. As an aside, he has also been trying to lauch a hunting show on television.

I know Nyles has responded to some of the Ripoff Reports in the past, that are no longer listed.  He always refutes the accusations,never owning up to any of it and does so in an embarassing,rude, and unprofessional manner.  If he sees this, he'll know my name and probably come up with numerous lies about me (which is what he does best!) and state that I'm some crazy woman.  However, I know all I have written is accurate and that I have information to back up my claims.

I applaud you for posting your report here, in working with the police, and also trying to expose him on the news.  He needs to be put out of business once and for awhile.  If I can be of any help, please respond.  I still have a personal email address of his.

I am so glad you didn't fall for his trap.
