I have been shopping for a loan online and my credit is not perfect. I got a called today 10/31/2008 from a Mr Robert Mansfield saying I had been approved by their company for $12,500.00. They wanted me to secure the loan with a lean on a vehicle or property or I could send them the first 5 Payments upfront ($1,206.20) and then they would disburse the funds and I would only have to start paying of my loan on May 1, 2009. They did fax me a contract which I have retained but did not sign or return because of obvious reasons.
I tried to looked them up on the BBB but did not find them and on the WHOIS website which shows me that their website has been registered only since October 22, 2008. I ask them for information but but they told me I could only get their business ID or Tax number if I had my lawyer send them a letter requesting that information. So I feel that this is definitely a scam operation. Also if I look up their address, the property is for lease and also listed as a storage place for a company named Allied Street Storage. I hope this helps.
