It has been a year since I brought the faulty blutooth device to the attention of my local Infiniti dealer. The first lie came when they claimed that my problem was unique. After searching the intenet myself, I was easily able to find a service bulleten issued by Infiniti acknowledging the problem with the bluetooth device in the M45. The solution was to have the standard Infinit unit replaced with a remanufactured unit from Clarion. I was told that I could not have one of those units because I had a warranty that was not an Infiniti warranty and they were saving those units for Infiniti warranty holders only.

I was told by Danni Ligori, a service advisor (and the owners son) that he would replace my unit with an Infiniti unit at a cost of $4000. He was well aware that the problem would not be fixed with this unit but once I had it replaced by Infiniti, I would then qualify for the replacement unit offered by Clarion. (which cost $400) He took my credit card in case of any charges that were not to exceed $100. I was charged $500 for taxes on the Infiniti Unit and there was nothing I could do about it at that point.

The new unit was just as bad as the original. Danni Ligori and Rick Black then told me that the problem had been escilated to the engineering department and I would hear back within a week. After 2 weeks, I called Rick Black to find out what the status was and he very rudely dismissed me said they would be in touch.   A few weeks later, I called Infiniti Canada to get to the bottom of it, and they had no knowledge of any escilation of my problem or resolution for me. This was November 2009.

On March 4, 2010 I once again contacted Infiniti Canada to get a status report. They acknowledged my inquiry. On March 19th, I followed up with Infiniti Canada only to find that Oakville Nissan has completely dismissed my case and suggested that I travel 100km away to go see another dealer! There is another dealer in the adjacent city to me, but is also owned by the same family.

With all the troubles that foreign auto dealers are facing today, I would have expected more courtious and competant service on their flagship sedan.

I would highly disuade anyone from dealing with Oakville or Woodchester Nissan and avoid Danni Ligori and Rick Black at all costs!!
