OAN Services - Global Airwave Comm Voicemail (Tammy) ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing with an attitude to boot Northridge California

Well, it all started about July 03. I got a call from a telemarketing company (Global Airwave Comm). They were trying to sell me a free pager with 1 yr of service @ 19.95 per mo. with a one time activation fee of 34.95. I was told that it would be charged to my home telephone bill.

Within 2 wks,I would receive my certificate for my free pager and instructions to activate my account. Needless to say, I never received my pkg in the mail for the free pager & activation instructions. Therefore, I forgot about it.

I just got my phone bill from SBC Illinois. I have a $44.09 charge from OAN Services for Global Airwave Comm Voicemail @ $19.95 for Dec 03 & Jan 04.

I called 800-448-1173 & got a girl named Tammy. I asked her what this bill is in reference to. She said, "A voicemail service that I agreed to." I told her that I never got the pager that was to go along with the service. So what are they billing me in Dec 03 & Jan 04 for????

She told me that she would cancel the service & refund the 2 mos. @ 19.95 plus tax. I then called SBC to check for other charges. I was informed that OAN charged me Aug03 ($60.66), Sep03-Nov03 ($22.05) per month. Therefore, I called OAN back @ 800-539-2616 (phone number provided by Ameritech).

I talked to a gentlemen who told me that I needed to speak directly to Global Airwave in order to get my account refunded. He gave me 800-441-9678. Guess who answered the phone... None other than Tammy. She told me that they have a recording of me accepting these charges to my telephone.

I asked to hear the recording. After the recording ended, I asked where my pager was that this service included. She stated that the service doesnt require a pager. It was suppose to be a pkg mailed to me with my certificate for the free pager & service.

Then, I asked her for Global Airwave's address. She started with "3020 Legacy Dr. May I ask what you need the address for?" I said, "I need it for my formal complaint to the FCC." She says, "I will refund all of your money." I was trying to cut in with "From August until now" She says, "I told you that I would refund ALL of your money."

Then, Tammy hung up on me.
