I got the flier in the mail from them, and kept it handy just in case. I called them up to fix the garage door coil. First of all, they charge a service call fees of $47.50 just for coming, which I understand they should charge if I am calling them and not getting any service. However, even if you get service from them, the charge doesnt drop off the bill. He quoted me an additional $120 charged as "Door off track", which i'd say is slightly above average but i agreed. THEN, he tries to sell me the rollers, a set of 10 for $180. I asked him what is the problem with the current rollers, since they dont seem bent or in any way out of shape. He said since the door came off the track, there must be something wrong with the rollers. I told him, no the rollers look fine to me, and perhaps he should focus on the railing on which the rollers run. He said theres wear on the roller, and that the problem will persist if i continue with the same rollers in a few months (there was no real wear on the rollers). Grudgingly, i agreed considering I am paying almost 160 without getting the rollers, and if the rollers are the problem, to get them replaced.

He picked up a bunch of open rollers from his truck, not from a box. I asked him to see the rollers, and even questioned that, each one of these are $18 dollars each? He said its better quality. Anyway, after he started working on the garage door with the new rollers, I went inside to check roller prices online. Turns out, the most expensive rollers available from a local Home Depot runs around $20 for a set of 10. It is even cheaper from Amazon. I inquired him about the markup, and was told that the charge includes labor of installing the rollers plus parts. Mind you, "installing" the rollers is just sliding the roller in the appropriate spot. At that point i had no choice but to pay him the full amount for the service. This was a total ripoff. I ended up paying almost $350 for the service described above. Definitely, I would NOT recommend them to anyone.
