occultcorpus.com is a ripped me off! On around December 15 2010 I stumbled upon a Wiccan message board located at www.occultcorpus.com and seemed to have plausable discussions on it's message board. I then replied to some messages and the administrator replied on the message board that all new users must register and pay a subscription fee. So I complied; I regiestered and sent a paypal payment. I then went to log in and I refused my password. I tried several times and no success. I sent countless emails to occultcorpus.com administration and NO RESPONCE for 6 MONTHS!
Then I began receiving spam; pornography, sex pills, dating services etc. My gmail account was locked, myspace and facebook was locked and passwords and recovery email accounts were changed. I did not do this. I was stifled. Then I realized that I used the same password with Occultcorpus.com as I use with all my other accounts. When I realized this, I went to my paypal account to see if that was hacked as well and low and behold it was. Thank goodness, I only had a few dollars in that account balance. Paypal had also locked my account because of an unusual foreign ip address was used to access my account.
The money is not a lot but the hassle they put me through to set up new email and social media accounts was a crude violation of my privacy. Be careful of Occultcorpus.com and if you have an account with them and you use a common password then chances are they have been phishing your information.
Change your passwords often because of these internet predators like www.occultcorpus.com !

I am not a member, wouldn't lower my standards, but I have heard complaints against this forum before. pleading poverty, asking for money to keep the forum, going when it doesn't cost that much to run a forum. there are free forums our there and servers who only want 30.00 a month. asking for money is pretty low, and i never stay or join a forum when they do that. as for 4,000 members, just because there are only a few post so don't jack up the amount of contributors to the forum. it is a shame when people do this, but because it is a role playing forum, maybe the money is to keep the few members that do post happy. i am surprised there are not more complaints given all the people that have complained to me. something should be done and this matter should be looked into more fully. it is rather easy to put it down as a member who was banned and is trying to cause trouble. i seriously doubt that is the case, the owner got caught and is trying to weasel their way out, plain and simple.

I am the owner and administrator of OccultCorpus.com and I can assure you that this never happened. The person is seemingly disgruntled, and I am not sure if he is a past member and trying to get back at my site for being banned (for breaking the rules) or if he simply got his password hacked on another site and is blaming me.
I can say however, that I have never told anyone that they must pay anything to be a member. I do offer gold memberships for a price, but have never once had an issue with such a thing as it's automated through the forum software.
The member did contact me through email, as well as through the forum itself however to contact me on the forum he had to create a different account, and I can not find any record of anyone with the same IP as him ever having made an account in the past. I did try to work with him, but he could not give me the unique transaction ID of the paypal transaction, and was very irate with me.
Now it seems that he is going around trying to talk smack about me and my site, when there is no evidence what-so-ever that any wrong doing on my part ever took place.
Visit my site, and look around. I have over four thousand members, and over 100 active members, and this is the only complaint I've ever had. I would assume that if I would have posted to all members that they needed to pay, the site would not be free as it is (and always has been) and if I was to go around stealing from people and spamming them, that my member base would be much much much smaller then it is now.
I thank Ripoffreport for providing this service, as it does allow the average Joe to speak his (or her) mind, but it would be a much more realistic endeavor if it required at least partial evidence of said wrong doing. As it stands, anyone can create an account and say whatever they wish about whoever they wish... maybe I need to file a report on them ;)
But honestly, my reputation is not marred by this, as I have over 4,000 happy members.
And as a reminder to all, never ever use the same password on multiple sites, and by the gods, please be aware of the actual address you are visiting. Phishing is a crime and it can cause a world of woe for all involved.
