The staff is verbally and emotionally abusive at times! If they think you need more verbal and emotional abuse they will send you to the department of rehabilitation, which is really a DUMPING GROUND and PARKING LOT for societys discards. They get away with this because no one has ever captured them doing what they always do with a hidden camera. Many One Stop workers are disengaged and some spend their time doing online shopping or visiting bible.com. The Internet connections are incredibly slow and the classes offered by the One Stop are a joke. The information they provide people is outdated or just completely wrong. One guy will tell you to copy the job description word for word into you resume and then make it invisible using a feature on Microsoft Word to defeat applicant tracking systems.

There is a voyeuristic quality to the staff/volunteers with people using their position to pry into your personal information. One woman was repeatedly questioned about the nastiness of her divorce and abuse she suffered at home even though it was none of the One Stops business. They promise you help with your job search and an interview suite, but deliver nothing! A "few" One Stop employees work incredibly hard doing something, take classes at night, and then leave, but most just put out a mediocre effort. The only party benefiting from the Irvine One Stop is the landlord. They don't even have a drinking fountain, but insist that you buy food and drink from some guy reselling sandwiches and canned drinks. Just across the parking lot is Blizzard Entertainment, which sometimes hires the In-N-Out burger truck at $1,500 a pop to feed its employees.

Some washed up corporate executives attend all the One Stops programs to market their career counseling services and secrets to gain entry into the  C Suite at $400.00 a shot, so watch out. Some people will tell you their wives want them out of the house during the day so they go to the One Stop to surf the internet and smoke cigarettes until it closes. Others join an awful program called experience unlimited so they can sit in a chair 8 hours a day and drink coffee. Some people desperately need help and you can tell because they are living out of their car, but they wont get anything from the corrupt government employees at the One-Stop. One employee says his back is bothering him from his sedentary job and may file a workers' compensation claim to spike his pension. Then there is the security guard to ride herd over those over whelmed by hopelessness and despair. They could improve their services if they relocated to a closed government building or school and used the money they waste on rent to hire a REAL career coach, but that would be too efficient.
