On July 17 I purchased set of 4 18" Chrome Wheels for my Lexus LS430. I already just had new tires installed on my old rims and decided after I wanted new ones. I went to OEM-Rims, Inc and found a pair I liked. Really sharp rims.
About 2 weeks later, on Saturday I just got done washing the car and was polishing the rims when I noticed that there was a dull spot around valve stem. I put some more cleaner on the rim, Meguiars, and cleaned it again. Spot was still there and I looked closer. It wasn't dirt but the chrome was peeling off around the one side of valve stem. I checked out other rims and found there was "blistering" in certain areas of 3 of 4 rims.
I went back to store on Tuesday to show them the rims. After having three people there look at them and getting no where it seemed, I said I wanted to talk to the owner. They said the owner was not there and he would be there tomorrow. I went back Wednesday and did talk with owner. He and another guy came out and looked at the rims and said it was not their fault, but mine! They told me that the cleaner I was using, Meguiars, caused the chrome to blister and peel. I showed them the bottle and it showed on the bottle that it was safe for chrome and made for chrome. They said I should take it up with Meguiars.
I went round and round with these idiots. They said they would send them out for rechroming but it would cost $350.00 and I would have to pay for it. I paid $550.00 for the rims. They looked perfect when I bought them. There was no blistering.
These rims were like 16 days old when I went back to the store. As soon as I get some more money, I'm filing a small claims case against them. I've never seen chrome blister like that before.
Beware of these scammers! They don't stand behind their wheels. Don't do business with these creeps! It doesn't matter how shiny the chrome is if it doesn't stay on the wheels and just peels off. Now there are whole sections of the chrome peeled off. The wheels look terrible.

Hi All -
I'm simply a recent customer of OEM-RIMS and for the life of me, can't figure out what this guy's talking about. It's got to be a case of mistaken identity as they've put outstanding quality chrome rims on two of my Lexus LS430's and I couldn't be happier, not just w/ the rims but also w/ the courteous (and quick) service by Ann and her crew.
If you're looking for a high overhead shop w/ well dressed mechanics and hors d'ouvres, this isn't it but the prices are rock bottom compared to other wheel distributors and especially the Lexus dealers.
No, I don't work for them and prior to a month ago, didn't know they existed but couldn't pass up the opportunity to, at least from a customer standpoint, set the record straight. Yes, the original reviewer has a legitimate argument but I can't help feeling it's not the same shop - at least not the one I've dealt with on Howell in Anaheim.
