OK Tire- Vegreville Vegreville OK Tire damges customers property, pushes customer out the door and swears at him Vegreville, Alberta

I had purchased an expensive set of rims to have installed on my vehicle. They were used so I went over them very carefully to make sure they were not damaged in any way. To my satisfaction, they were in perfect condition.

I took the rims to OK Tire in Vegreville who I had dealt with for many years and purchased numerous tires for my fleet of five vehicles. OK Tire installed the rims in their usually proficient manner.

Several days later, I noticed an etch in one of the rims right below one of the plastic caps used to cover the wheel nuts. It was very unusual as it was in a curved configuration. Upon closer inspection, I found that two of the plastic caps were cracked and glued back together. One cap above the etch had been broken in three pieces. I suspected they had put too much glue on it, it leaked out and damaged the rim, making the etch in it. They had probably put the wrench on the plastic caps and had broken them and then glued them back together.

Instead of letting me know of the damage, a simple ten dollar fixed, they had damaged a five hundred dollar rim by trying to cover it up. When I went back to the shop to show them the damage, the supervisor said that they had no glue on the premises and denied doing the damage.
The owner came by and I asked him to have a look. He said he had no time and to come back another day. I stated it would only take a minute as I had to work the next several days and would like to get the issue resolved. He told me  he did not want to look at my issue and to leave. I stated that I was unhappy with the fact that a long time customer was being ignored.
He raised his voice and told me to leave again. Now other customers were starting to pay attention, so he grabbed me by the elbow and ushered me out the door. Once outside, he started to swear at me and told me to get off his property.

I was baffled by how easily upset be became until it dawned on me that he was one of the employees working on my vehicle that day. I then emailed OK Tire head office to inform them of the situation but as expected, received no response.
I would suggest taking your tire business elsewhere than OK Tire in Vegreville
