I met "Bonga" through a Mr. Abdul Kalam Azad Sattaur (Mr. Sattaur also goes by Kalam Diamond, amongst other company names). Both Mr. Sattaur and Mr. Joel Mogakwe met me at the Intercontinental Hotel upon arrival to South Africa.
Joel Mogakwe stated he was a registered diamond trader (Rainbow Moon Trading). He said he had worked with Mr. Abdul Kalam Azad Sattaur (aka Kalam Diamond) for three years.
The next morning after my arrival, we met for the transaction. We exchanged what were supposed to be rough diamonds, but were indeed diamond simulants. Clearly, I was not aware of this at the time of purchase. Mr. Joel Mogakwe weighed the simulants and acted as if they were real. He wrote on a piece of paper some prices which were related to the transaction. The stones were all FAKE. Upon my quick arrival to US, after various gemologists (including the buyer's) had confirmed these were fake stones, I contacted Mr. Sattaur. Because Mr. Sattaur did not answer the phone for over two days, I was forced to contact "Bonga," who confusingly answered and acted surprised about the stones being fakes.
Joel Mogakwe blamed this on Mr. Abdul Kalam Azad Sattaur, saying Mr. Sattaur had previously taken the stones to Malaysia. To specify, Mr. Joel Mogakwe stated that Mr. Sattaur had exchanged the stones while Mr. Sattaur was away in Malaysia. He stated that he had placed a lot of trust in Kalam, and that he was upset. ALL STORIES...
Joel went along with every story that Kalam was delivering, and many times, the two were completely NOT on the same page with their own version. After days of maintaining contact, Joel stopped communicating or replying to any of my attempts to contact. However, interesting enough, when they wanted more money, Joel Mogakwe gets on the phone, and actually validated that he had new rough stones to send. Joel Mogakwe validated this story because Kalam wanted me to send him $1,800.00 USD, so that they could supposedly send new stones. I refused. I had already lost a lot of money.
Mr. Mogakwe is a con-artist, a scammer, and a fraud, to say the least. Deal with Mr. Mogakwe at your own risk - trust that you will regret it.
