Olson Rug Fraud, dishonest, false promises Bloomingdale Illinois

I went through years of searching for the perfect carpet. I finally ended up at Olson Rug. I made an appointment with a salesperson (Kasia) who came to my house. While she was there my sister was also present and was introduced. I told Kasia about all my cats and that I absolutely needed a carpet that was pet stain proof. She said that she understood since she also had a cat. She measured my rooms and made an appointment for me to come to the store to pick out carpet.

When I went to the store I reiterated what my needs were and she again said that she understood. She showed me many carpets which were entirely out of my price range or the color was wrong. Finally, she brought a carpet sample to me that I thought was perfect. I asked again if it was warranteed against pet stains. She said yes. So I ordered the carpet.

Within 5 months the carpet was ruined. I could not get rid of the hairball stains. My old carpet (15+ years old) did not look that bad. I looked at the brochures I had from the store and did as they said. No luck. I called Olson Rug and talked to the most uninformed Customer Service Manager (she even yelled at me and would not let me explain what was going on). She said that my carpet was not warranteed against pet stains.

So, I called the company that the brochure said waranteed it and talked to them about the stains. They said to do the same thing that I had already tried. I tried it again and all it did was to make the color lift from the carpet.

Now, I have a dark purple carpet with light spots and no one will take responsibility.

I paid a lot of money for the carpet and now I'm left with garbage. I'm 61, disabled and have been out-of-work for over a year. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at that carpet and cried.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM OLSON RUG. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS NOR DO THEY HAVE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE.
