They pull you in with a drawing to win a related item. Petal car fire truck placed in a restaurant. They have a woman call and say you won a free dinner for 4-6 all because y our name was drawn and it will be placed b sck in to be drawn for the original prize. You arrive and are invited to eat and a scam artist scares you telling stories of death or near death fire related stories and a video. Bragging on their super special "affordable" fire/smoke detection equipment

At the end you are asked to write down a time to have scam man come and examine your home for fire safety. For 4 dectectors and a bed vibrator and bedside alarm it will cost you anywhere from $1,500-$6000 dollars. ( SCAM MAN WILL NOT DISCUSS AT DINNER OR ANSWER QUESTIONS RELATED TO PRICE) . do not be duped by scam man bragging up their product. I hope you all aviod this scam, better yet eat their free dinner and walk no RUN away FAST!!!!

What makes this a rip off?

AUTHOR: Marlon - (Australia)

POSTED: Thursday, January 18, 2018

I'm trying to work out what makes this a rip off... the only thing I can see here is price, and my question is compared to what?

This is because using the same logic... mercedes, bmw, apple, rolls royce, bose, sony and so many other high quality brands are rip offs just because there products cost more.

The question you have to ask in that scenario is why would you pay more for a mercedes/bmw than a kia, why would you pay more for an apple or samsung phone than a htc?

The reason is usually quality and a higher level of service, so if there was an issue with quality of the product then you could say that it is a fair to call this product a rip off... however if like your mercedes, your apple and your sony omnishield provides a higher level of service then it makes sense it would cost more.

#1 UPDATE Employee

False & Libel

AUTHOR: Chris - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 25, 2017

If you've read this fake post, you're researching our product. If so, you've probably seen a sales presentation. I hope you will read my rebuttal. It's simple. We are a direct sales company, so you've probably even had the chance to touch the product and see it demonstrated. In direct sales, a scam would be difficult to run because the consumer is involved from the beginning to the end and there are federal laws protecting in home sales transactions. Unlike purchases online where you may not get what you pay for.

This post is false and libelous.

Libel is a written published defamatory statement and is normally defended by a lawsuit. I would love to defend our company and our brand. However, we are dealing with an anonymous coward who seeks to harm our company, our employees and our brand. In fact, he or she seeks to harm those who have seen our products by preventing them from protecting their homes and families.

I'm the President of the company who manufactures the OmniShield Network. My name is Chris Roberts. I'm not anonymous. In fact, if you'd like to talk to me, my phone number is 972-393-5500 ext. 26. I'm available Monday through Friday from 9-5 CST unless I'm traveling. Because we are a global company, I do travel quite a bit. But unlike a scam, you can leave a message with our receptionist or one of our employees and they will get a message to me. Unlike a scam, we go to work every day to provide the best solution to home safety available on the residential market.

I've been employed by the company for over 17 years. We manufacture the OmniShield Network of products referred to in this report. Our company has been making and selling high quality fire protection products since the 1970's. We are far from a scam. In addition to manufacturing our products in the U.S.A. at a U.S. factory and having employees who have worked with us for over 30 years, our products are all listed by Underwriter's Laboratories. In fact, our factory is a Strategic Partner of UL. Not something a scam would be. We are a Presidential Council Member of NASFM, an organization of the fire service. Not something a scam could achieve. I am personally listed in the NFPA Code Book as an alternate on the NFPA 720 Carbon Monoxide Committee. Once again, not something a scam could achieve. We are sponsors, member or donors to the Shriners Hospital, the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, The National Volunteer Fire Council, NASFM, NFPA, ICC, the US Chamber of Commerce and we have an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau. All impossible for a scam to achieve. In addition, our company has awarded over $160,000.00 in scholarships to the children or spouses of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Scams don't do those things and cannot prove all of these in a court of law. But our company can.

Unfortunately, the internet is today's bathroom wall and anyone can post any opinion they have and they may even do so anonymously. In fact, this site hosts complaints and accusations, mostly anonymous, against Wal Mart and American Express. The point is proven by the content. In this case, the opinion of an anonymous person in Pennsylvania will be read by our potential customers. Most unfortunate, this post could cost a family the opportunity to see what our network would cost to professionally install smoke, heat, carbon monoxide, flood and freeze protection with text and email notifications and 20 year batteries with no monthly monitoring fees.  We aren't cheap but we are as affordable as anything else people purchase for their homes. From mattresses to refrigerators, products have different prices for different levels of quality. Our quality is the best. Our service is free. Our prices are not cheap but affordable and we offer financing options as low as one year same as cash to those who qualify. We do everything in our power to protect people and their homes. In fact, we have letters proving thousands of lives and millions of dollars in property have been saved.

The person who anonymously defamed our brand and company in this post is allowed to call us a scam with absolutely no proof. I have proof we aren't a scam. Call me and I'll direct you to the proof we are not a scam. If you decide that you don't want to purchase our quality product, that's your right. Everybody doesn't buy the best. But no one should have the right to call us a scam. Especially in a cowardly anonymous post designed to harm our good brand name and our good people.
