One Call Construction Services, Inc. This company gets into your home by offering a deal on A/C cleaning. Once they are in your home, they use scare tactics to grossly overcharge their victims. Ocala Florida

I was first approached by this company by door to door sales, offering a $10 cleaning and inspection of my air conditioner. Because I have had to call A/C companies in the past for minor cleaning issues, at $100 a visit, I signed up or their service. The A/C technition came to my home and asked me a series of questions. Not realizing he was looking to pray on my fears I devulged that my Daughter and I had sever pollen and mold allergies. He then opened the air intake and showed me black mold. (Which I have sence found from other A/C professionals that is common and not harmful.)  He went on and on about the dangers of this mold and told me this was why my daughter was sick. He also said that if I didn't correct this issue emidiotly, he would have to report my home as a healthy hazzard, and I could potentialy lose my children for child endangerment. He quoted a price of aprox. $3,300.00. When I asked him if I could think about it, He said I would have to sign papers stating I knew the health risks, and that there would be additional fees to have them return to fix the issue. After an hour of high pressure ales and scare tactics, I reluctantly signed their credit card offer.  I then took him 10 minutes to poke a hole on the duct and insert a UV light. After seeing no real change in the air quality and feeling duped, I began doing research online and talking to other proffessionals. I found that the mold is common and not especially harmful. Although common treatment is the UV light most companies will install one like what I purchased for $400-$500, I was charges 6X that amount. When I asked One Call why their price was so much their responce was, "we only use the best qualitiy equipment." I then had another company come out and look at the UV Light and they said is was a quality light the same one that they charge $500 for. I have since spent the last year trying to resolve the issue through the BBB. Their only counter offer was to deduct $500 off the oiginal price bringing total cost to $2700.00.
