A while back i was looking to make some extra cash to cover the cost of my college books. I decided that part time acting/modeling on the side might bring me some big bucks (well at least enough to pay for the books). I decided to go online and submit some information about myself to an acting website. That's where this crap all began.

I get a phone call from One Source Talent agency saying they are interested and they give me their address along with an appointment date. The woman on the phone sounded very uneducated.

I show up to my appointment.I go up the elevators in a very sketchy looking building and the doors open to a waiting room for One Source Talent. In the waiting room are a bunch of other victims waiting to be called into orientation room. I am told to fill out a paper and am called into the again, sketchy looking orientation room. "A Devil Wears Prada" was playing on a flat screen tv. There were tons of other people in here with me. Some were parents with their children... Others were struggling actors.

After about 15 minutes, a young woman dressed in revealing clothes and high heels walks in. Her name is Sanabel Billan. I warn you of her. Do not give her a dime of your money.

I could tell by how inappropriately she was dressed that something was up. It was completely unprofessional.

I decided as she was talking, I'd look up some reviews for One Source Talent on my phone. And what do ya know? Hundreds of people in the same situation. Getting ripped off by the hundreds of dollars. I knew I got a bad vibe from this place. Out of curiosity,  I go through with it.

After she talked to us in the orientaion room about the $500 fee for a casting card (I can get one for about $100) and all of the fees, she calls us one by one to measure us and take down our measurments. She measures my waist and seems to roll her eyes at me and mumbles afterwards (I guess because it was really small?) I was then called into a little interview room with her. She told me that in order to be considered, I had to pay $450 on the spot. She did not tell me why. I asked her if this had something to do with the castong card and she refused to answer. I have every right to know where my money is going! She said if I didnt pay it today, my name would be taken out of their database and my papers would be thrown out. I told her I had $50 on me. (I had much more, but I wasnt going to give my money to a scammer) She asked me if there was anyway I could get the money tonight? If I had a credit card  I could take money out of.... I said no. After desperately trying to get me to pay for 5 minutes or so she got very upset and made me really uncomfortable. She's a horrible person to de with and has one if the worst attitudes ever. She told me "Why walk into a talent agency with practically no money and expect to get anything accomplished?" I thought she was going to hurt me!

Maybe it's because I've been to legitimate talent agencies and payment plans are almost always offered.

How dare this woman walk around half naked in heels, beg me for money and then yell at me for not giving it to her.
