One Spa Retreat Mississauga Spa Direct Ripped off for Yoga Membership.... Mississauga, Ontario

I worked there and she told me she was one of the owners and principals of the company. She started the spa with a young man who used to work for her in a previous company. His father was bank rolling the new venture and from what I had heard became none to happy about how the business was managed and how is money was used. 

 I was there when employees were claiming that she would have them cancel existing credit card transactions and re issue them with a decimal point moved. Ex: a client purchases products and services for $320.00 and her transaction would be cancelled and re issued at $3,200.00. When I was there one client was doing her best to pursue Audrey and left multiple messages to no avail. When I confronted Audrey she told me that such a ploy couldn’t even work, so it was impossible for her to do something like that anyway. Why then were clients calling her when they found charges on their cards in excess of the original transactions? On several occasions she called me to tell me not to cash a paycheck because of some fraud that caused the company account to have insufficient funds. She went on to say that some one or ones where after her. The whole thing was so ludicrous, clearly she believes she is far smarter than anybody else for such idiotic stories to work. From what I have seen and understood,  she is an amazing fabricator and can come up with a story at the drop of a dime, she is also quite adept at manipulating emotions, garnering sympathy and attempts to make anyone confronting her end up feeling guilty for doing so. From an objective point of view I almost admire her skill. Pity it’s used to hurt not help. 

 I spoke to an employee that had worked for her before she started One Spa Retreat and she had said that this credit card business was not new, neither were salary cheques being delayed, or wages not being paid, nor was bounced cheques to suppliers. I was amazed at the fact that people still worked for her despite knowing all of this and said as much, their response was they needed the money. 

 I even had suppliers calling me a month or more after I had left (having lost some money myself in wages not paid) to ask me why I was bouncing cheques on them. I had to explain i was not a principal in the company (despite whomever had said otherwise, jee I wonder who that could have been...)  but had been only an employee, that I myself had lost money and advised them to pursue legal action asap. I also received a call from a dear elderly lady, who had worked for Audrey at the One Spa Retreat, whose husband had a heart condition and who was owed thousands of dollars. She wanted my advise regarding suing Audrey. Audrey after a direct confrontation with this lady and her son had agreed (not that her agreement meant anything anyway) to pay a portion of the wages owed. The elderly lady asked me if she should pursue Audrey for th full amount and my advise was to take the money and end it. Because, fighting someone in court is long and tedious even if it's small claims and given her husbands health I suggested it was better not to bring more strife into her or her homelife. 

 Now at the end of 2017, Audrey has resurfaced as some kind of lifecoach and was using at least one non commercial platform that I know of to create her professional profile. With my experience of this woman given what I had seen at the spa, the anecdotes related to me by employees and the conversation I had with suppliers leeds me to one conclusion. This woman is a shameless, guiltless predator. The only reason she is free to prey upon others is because it is both expensive and time consuming to go after people like her and ultimately she is a professional predator and knows how to avoid leaving enough paper to get caught and knows that most people will not sue. STAY AWAY!!! SHE IS BAD NEWS!!! 

Today I felt compelled to complain about my experiences with Audrey Hlembizky.  I along with one of my girlfriends purchased a spa package from Audrey last June.  We're now being told that the spa package is no longer valid.  Therefore, the $1100.00 my girlfriend and I spent is no longer available.  A complete ripoff!

If I only knew that all I had to do was go to Google and type, "Audrey Hlembizky scam," I wouldn't have made the purchase from this woman/crook.  Nothing that comes out of this woman's mouth is the truth.  Absolutely nothing. 

I've read complaints about former employees, customers and suppliers that do business with her.  There's a very common theme.  She rips people off and then makes herself look like the victim. 

Don't take my word for it, Google her name and you'll find many more complaints about her on many other complaint boards.  

I don't understand why people like this are allowed to do business in this country.  We prosecute drug dealers, burglars, and etc; yet we allow this Audrey Hlembizky to continue to rip off the good people of the Greater Toronto Area.  

So be warned. Audrey Hlembizky is a crook and she will rip you off.  Her Spa direct business is a complete sham that is designed to fool good people out of their money.  

If anyone doubts the accuracy of my complaint, please contact me and I can give you more information on Spa direct and  Audrey Hlembizky that will confirm everything I've said.  Also, I know at least 9 other women that have been ripped off by Audrey Hlembizky.  

Any person that can be found on Google by simply typing "scam" or "ripoff" after their name is obviously not an honest person.  

As one of dozens of former employees owed thousands of dollars each by Spa Direct Management Group, my empathy lies with those employees and the public consumers who were mislead and basically stolen from.  Ms. Hlembizky is not one of them and is certainly not an innocent 'injured' employee. Nor is there any basis in reality for any sort of response of righteous indignation of crying 'slander'. 

There is no onus on consumers to investigate a company's holdings before filing  a public complaint online against an individual who misrepresents themselves so thoroughly. 

FACT: Since at least 2008, Audrey Hlembizky has represented herself to be Spa Direct ownership. 

FACT: Her email signature, business card, website, public blogs, networking and transactions with hoteliers, vendors, contractors, staff, customers and several MEDIA statements/press releases  all indicated clearly she was the FOUNDER and VICE PRESIDENT of Spadirect Management Group Inc.  

FACT: If there is any falsehood being committed here it is likely deliberate false misrepresentation by Ms. Hlembizky to avoid any financial accountability and the sheer volume of misrepresentations in print over several years can hardly be called an "oops". Whether or not it would be considered a criminal fraud is up to the police to determine but it is certainly unethical & immoral and should be subject to investigation by police or media consumer advocates in the local area. 

FACT: While claiming she was an unpaid employee who experienced hardship Ms. Hlembizky was in reality concurrently transferring assets to set up her newest spa that she probably doesn't 'own'... The Spa at Glenerin Inn. One phone call was all it took to confirm the dates etc

FACT: Its really too bad this beautiful storied Inn will likely have its reputation tarnished as so many of the former hosts hotels to the SpaDirect locations did. I know if I lived there I would definitely be bringing the Inn's proprietors up-to-speed on Ms. Hlembizky's history and lack of integrity/care for their guests. 

I want to first start by saying " Rip off report" on its own is an industry scam.

RIP- OFF REPORT ALLOWS ANYONE TO WRITE ANYTHING WITHOUT ANY REGARD AND INVESTIGATION THE INFORMATION THAT IS POSTED. 

Regardless, this post was written about me and I am not even the owner of this company. I managed the spa. I lost my job working at the spa. 

whoever wrote this report should of had the decency to investigate information prior to slandering my name all over the internet.

In addition this person invaded my privacy by finding a way to get into my face book account and copy pictures of me and posted them along with this posting. This is harassment. 

If you are so certain of what you are writing is true why don't you write your name?

I am also disgusted with what has happened to all of the clients who prepaid for services and because of that, I have been personally working hard to find another studio that would honor your memberships. Many of the members are very grateful for what I am trying to do, but it is so unfair that instead of being honest! I don't have to do this, I lost my job, but morally I want too as I really cared for all these clients.

Rip off report has been used against me from former staff that were let go due to bath work ethic, stealing from the company and providing bad service and Rip off report allows people to say what ever they want. This is not right and it is internet slander.

When you complain to Rip off report about why they allowed someone to write this, they tell you they wont take it off, yet you can hire them and pay them money to have an attorney fight this.

Rip off report is a SCAM and is abusing the credibility of what the internet should be used for.

 As far as this person who wrote this, I know who you are and I will list your name in a rip off report so you will now be able to see what it is like and how unfair this system is. you should do a search as to who legally owns the company and than go after them. Not someone who worked for the company. 

if you went and did a corporate search for Spadirect Management Group Inc. you could easily see who is the owner and that I am not.
