Do not use Onforce Ever! I was a buyer and provider from Onforce, I have a nationwide on site computer service company that thought their would be a use for Onforce, so like an idiot I decided to start using it as a buyer. Where ever I didn't have a technician I would route the job on Onforce, and cost $11 for routing fee. Onforce claims that they have over 11,000 providers. Since I was a provider as well I would have access to all the would look at a my work orders. Their would be maybe 5 technicians out of 40 that I routed the job to that actually saw the work order. The rest are fake profiles to make Onforce seem much larger than they actually are. The technicians are also not qualified they don't show up, accept jobs they cannot do, and generally very unprofessional.

I lost many customer for using Onforce as a buyer and would never suggest it to anyone. As a provider I used Onforce just like they say, to make my technicians available for additional work. The only thing is that Onforce will start to talk down to your employees about your company, and tell them that they will make more money if they work directly for Onforce. I lost 6 guys that way. Onforce is maybe a 10 person office. Chad Horn and Scott Epple are real pieces of work. They are there to make sure that your life is hell. They have screwed up more work orders, attempted to hire more of my technician, and also attempted to extort me after taking my technician stating that I needed to pay my employee what I charged for the job?!? Didn't make sense my employees started working for me an an agreed upon wage, after they spoke with Chad and Scott from Onforce, they wanted what I charged for the jobs, stating they were told from the Onforce Support that my company was not legitimate and they will create an additional profile for them so they can switch.

I am telling you: Onforce is a joke, their customer service is a joke, their entire platform is a joke. They will be out of business with in 5-7 years, they started out well, but are now greedy and do not support their customer base like they should. I would never recomend the use of Onforce and would suggest either www.oscsit.com or www.nerdywork.com. The pictures are as pretty, but they are what they say, no lies, and great customer support. I am personally attempting to do whatever I can to take Onforce down. I have contacted an attorney who is currently working on a case. If you are in the same boat please contact me and we can see about starting a "class action suite."

Onforce Has been a great company to contract for

AUTHOR: Teksquisite - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, October 08, 2009

I have contracted work orders with Onforce since 2006 and only had one problem with a buyer once during this time.  I've always been paid within 72 hours and also belong to a number of their Buyer PPN's (Preferred Professional Networks)- AT&T ConnecTech being one of my favorite PPN's.

I recently ran into a problem where I thought my payment was a 0 amount and Onforce called me (on the phone) that same day to let me know that I had been paid - and the money was there, so I think it must have been a glitch in the system at that time.

I am a highly qualified technician, ultimately professional, and always show up on time and get the job done.  Onforce has NEVER asked me to work directly for them.  I have never had one screwed up work order - on occasion there has been a missing telephone number, but never anything major. Three years of contracting for Onforce has been a great experience.

I'm not afraid to state who I am - just google "teksquisite" or find me on twitter.

I dare you to back up any of your claims.

Onforce does not recruit your techs away from working with you. Why would that benefit them?

OnForce has thousands of service pros across the US. You cant have all of them see your work order. Do you want a tech from CA flying in to perform you work? Techs are available via parameters you submit, maybe you should learn how to use the platform

There are no fake profiles on OnForce. What the heck are you talking about? This alone discredits everything else you have to say.

Maybe you lost 6 guys because they didn't make any money working with you. If you are as honest with them as you are in this post I can see why they left. I would.

OnForce is not a 10 person office. Where are you getting this from. Again you are making stuff up. Come on dude have some respect.

Nice call with the being out of business in 5-7 years. Again you are just flailing around. Are we supposed to take any of this seriously? OnForce has been in business for years and continues to grow, probably not a coincidence.

My last point is that I am calling you out to prove anything you said here. Not just more made up thoughts but actual proof. We all await your response.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

Inaccurate complaints? Or angry because of something else?

In the DFW area, there are more than 300 providers signed up for Onforce.com (hereafter, OF). I am one--and have completed only 14 WOs since 2004, for a number of reasons (including the press of the crowd).

Service buyers on the OF platform have a number of ways to attract talented service providers. Many choose to submit inaccurate WOs, offering wages guaranteed to attract none of the best, and "quick route" these to the first 20 or 40 on the list, gambling that they will get lucky...

Well, we all know what happens next. An under-qualified tech shows up and the End-user loses data, resulting in a lot more money spent by everyone involved.

It is not the fault of the OF Marketplace if the buyer cannot be bothered to do basic research.

I would argue that it is not the fault of the bottom-feeding technician, either. They're just looking for a gig.

It's certainly not the fault of the talented providers in this area who already know the hassles some buyers present. Some of us still make conditional offers. Some don't even bother.

Like Michelle in Florida, I also have a university degree, 20+ years in IT, multiple current technical certifications, and a sense of pride in my work. I don't do charity work via OF. I don't work for Nationals that have cheated my colleagues (or take over 30 days to pay). I don't take WOs that don't interest me; but I vary my rates occasionally for specific circumstances (generally based on my expertise or the type of work requested).

We all know the cheapest is not always the worst; but there is also the term, caveat emptor--let the buyer beware... You will get what you pay for... And if a buyer cannot be bothered to look at the information about the service providers on the OF site where they select who gets a chance to bid, then they have no right to complain. They just got what they asked for...

Onforce was a good company. Now they are just preying on providers - lowball and removing info providers used.

AUTHOR: Exonforceguy - (U.S.A.)

They used to be interested in providing us with a fair market place. Now they have changed many things (especially their managers attitudes). Low price workorders that are dropping even lower every week, sales people who encourage buyers to offer less (I was a buyer too - so I heard their pitch) and blame the providers for not working a pittance.

Now, the managers / execs answer us with canned answers and a crappy attitude. I stopped using them as a buyer (6 out 6 rating) and provider (6 out 6 rating) because they have lost all their purpose. Too many other firms doing the same thing and doing it better.

The only thing they want now is the lowest time to acceptance - ignore factual work orders, ignore correcting abusive buyers.

Seems their managment needs to be like tires. Rotate them oftem and replace them when needed. I expect them to circle the drain as soon as the venture money runs out

OnForce is just fine...the problem is with you.

First off, you are admitting to disobeying the rules of the marketplace by being registered as a buyer/provider at the same time which is clearly not allowed.

Secondly, there is absolutely no validity to the statement that OnForce is full of fake profiles just to bolster the image. Depending on where you are trying to route orders, there may not be 100 providers waiting to take your job. OnForce never claims to offer you a set number of providers in a range with specific skills.

I truly doubt that you have contacted an attorney over the issue, and if you have, I can't imagine any decent lawyer accepting something so foolish. If you're unhappy with OnForce, that's one thing. But don't post them as a ripoff and try to turn away potential providers/buyers...that's libel.

#1 UPDATE Employee

We are not all Charlatans!

AUTHOR: Michelle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 08, 2008

I have been doing contracts for OnForce since August of 2007. I have a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security, an A.A.S in Microsoft Specialization Technology, and an A.A.S. in Computer Networking and Systems Administration. I started a business using OnForce, and I have a technicians working for me. I am certified in LAN/WAN administration, Dell Systems Expert, A+, just to name a few. I had bouts with OnForce and I have been ripped off by many of their Buyer companies. That is the jest of sub contracting.

OnForce is suppose to be the mediator, and you are right they do not help you retrieve the money that is due to you. It does seem here lately the prices are going down, but if I don't feel they are going to pay me enough, I do not except the job. As far as I am concern OnForce is just another job board. The quality and quantity has dwindled so on to the next job board.
