In any case, my problem was that the company was out of control. The guys on the floor exhibited lots of unhealthy psychological problems. One guy had a fit every night. Another guy like to say he was straight and not gay and spent the night doing pushups. The situation was very confrontative, and when i went to HR and met with them, they did nothing. I met with HR people and they said all the right things but they didnt do anything. When one guy verbally, and under his breath, threatened me, the straight guy, I found that this was not appropriate, and that they should tell him, and maybe they did, but his behaviour continued. Another guy actually sabotaged the work that I was doing, which I was able to discover, and I reported that too. Eventually I realized that not only were the guys very unhealthy, but that the staff was also. And, the other thing was that one of the owners was actively doing crack. It was a joke on the floor, and many people talked about him, in fact once he called in and couldnt remember his password to log onto his porn site! I thought it was very sad, but it reflected the rest of the company. It was strange because I thought that working in a gay company would be fun, since im gay, but it was the worst job I ever had and if I had had more time, I would have taken the company to court on violations of civil rights, since people have the reasonable expectation to go to work without being harrassed. I even had to threaten them with taking them to court if they didn't pay me my full pay check!
