For now I have just received an email saying that my X2gen 19in LCD monitor with the $75 rebate is now declined.

Just like the other report written from the person....Arlene Portage, Michigan.........I did everything I was supposed to sent it 10/28/05 without mistake because it says FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTION to receive rebate without problems, doublechecked everything and sent the rebate 2 weeks later.

I recieved all the emails confirming everything all the way to an email saying my rebate has been approved, payment processed and I'll recieve payment in 8-10 weeks. Today I recieve email 1/19/06 stating this.

"Dear Pete ***** ****, We are sorry to inform you that your rebate has been denied by one of our vendors for the following reasons: Vendor Name: Computer World Solution US Offer Code: XG-1587 Rebate Description: $75 MIR on 19" Select Ultra Thin High Res LCD Monitors Rebate Amount: 75.0000 Your Tracking Number is: **************** Reason: Invalid Serial Number If you would like to talk to one of our customer service representatives, feel free to call the following number: 1-888-222-9300 Thanks again for utilizing OnRebate.com!"

Something needs to be done about this company, from all the complaints posted I'll probably get scammed like all the others. If the serial # is wrong it's not my fault I sent ALL the necessary info! They need to rectify this without wasting anymore of my time. This is too much of a coincident that someone gets the exact same problem. Hopefully something is done, If anyone has a plan let me know I'll help whatever way I can.

And hey the check didn't bounce! Got paid as she said i would. Still after going through all this and seeing how many complaints I would not advise going through this company. Furthermore I would have TigerDirect! fix this problem because it is their problem.

If at all possible go through NEWEGG! they have better service and they don't have this STIGMA that Tigerdirect now has. It may encourage TD to provide better service.

so I told them I would only fax the info, and that a competent company should have copies of my submitted info. Then I recieved the rebuttal above, stating I need to send them the serial # on the back of the monitor. The correct serial #, they stated, as though the serial # is different then the one on the box. NOT MY FAULT! Also if this is a problem a competent company would have worked theses kinks out long ago.

Basically I think this is how they work. They think of every reason not to pay you and hope most people don't check up on it and they pocket it. I made sure all my info was copied and dated because I was afraid this might happen, what a surprise, it did.
So now I must wait another 8-10 weeks probably only to find out there's another problem. I discourage anyone from using this company and just because they say there going to pay me does not mean ME or any of YOU should not post complaints here or to BBB, FTC etc. I know i'm still posting complaints just look at the list they have gotten in the past few months. UNACCEPTABLE! If they would have paid me within a week I might have considered not filing claims and complaints, but not after this attempted fraud.

I'll update you in...oh 8 to 10 weeks, maybe sooner cause it might get denied..again...

So i'll bring you all up to date. I emailed them back saying they need to pay me, etc. blah blah blah. They emailed me back within a few days and asked that I send all information again.

I told them NO! I will not send all information again because if it was wrong the first time it's not going to be right the second time, even though all information sent was exactly what they wanted.
