Onstaff USA Non-employment Agency Portage Michigan

First, I have a prospective job with Mann and Hummel. They did not tell me until the day of orientation that I would be switched to the off shift once hired in. I turned down the job. 1 week wasted.

They offered me an orientation with Stryker. I went, and waited a week before calling back, as instructed. They sounded like they didn't even know who I was. "No positions available." I talked to a different agency who said that there were, in fact, always positions available through Stryker. Another week wasted. They said they would call me with a new opportunity. Another week goes by.

At this point, having wasted 3 weeks dealing with them, I called about a specific job I knew about. They said there were no positions available but offered me a temp job in the mean time. Little did I know, the temp job at Fabri-Kal, would leave me wishing I had never spoken to Onstaff at all.

Onstaff did not tell me that I would have to take my piercings out for Fabri-kal. The hours included working on the weekends and mandatory 12 hour shifts. After leaving Onstaffs office, I called them back and said it would not work out after all, I wanted to back out. I would have literally no time to get my college homework done if I took the job. They said I needed to atleast go in the next morning and work. I wanted them to still consider me for the original job, so I went. I got ran like a dog for 12 hours for MINIMUM WAGE. Others from different agencies were making more then me, starting. It was the worst job I've ever had. I've worked similiar jobs that paid 12.50/hr. The Onstaff rep came in and asked if I would work the next day, and when I told him no, he said they would no longer work with me.

In conclusion, Onstaff will lie to you, they will NOT ever call you, you always have to call them, which sometimes requires waiting up to a week for each job, NO ONE should have to work fast paced factory work for MINIMUM WAGE (especially not someone with a year of manufacturing experience, like myself) and they will have you visiting their offices over and over again just to feed you these lies and false hopes.

Go to Snelling, Kelly Services, WSI, Manpower, Specialized Staffing, ANYWHERE but Onstaff.
