A phone call from Yellow-Page-USA indicated that we would recive a fax to confirm company information and make any corrections. The company would receive a Free page on Facebook. And that was all.

We do business with AT&T YP, so nothing was thought of as far as updating info as it was near renewal time.

The fax came, company info verified, signed and faxed back.

The company assistant does not have authority to sgn for advertising contracts.

Called the company after invoices started coming, he send to send a fax to accounting to cancel service. Then we were notified in another invoice to contact legal department. Now we received another letter explaining that they were not going to cancel account and we still had to pay the exoritat=nt fee of $1,188.00 plus $50 fees.

Most recently we received a letter threatening a lein against company, and the attachment of all financial assets and that the cost of these actions, the lawsuit and any statutory interest charges will be added. Today they called.

I requested documentation of the legality of the company hoping this would end it. they faxed me:

Incorporation Certificate in Dubai

Certificate of geed atanding (which expired June 2, 2013)

copy of a W-8BEN Form (Cert. of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for U.S Tax Withholding) Dated 03/28/2011

The company I represent does not intent to pay.

I have filed all the mail I received from Open Business Directory and avoided any communication as BBB suggested.  I did file complaint with FTC.
