Open Business Solution – SCAM COMPANY! DO NOT RESPOND AND PAY!

Realty World Advance Group received a fax from "Yellow Pages" and a form to update our listing. This form was branded well and looked legitimate with familiar logos. The listing they sent us was incorrect and there was an error on the address and had a couple of trailing numbers on our phone number. I corrected it and faxed it back. The original form that I corrected and faxed back had no place that it legal stated that it was a contract or any that I will owe any money. The fax was clearly shown “THIS IS NOT A BILL. “.

Months later we received a fax copy of my signature next to fine print saying that we will pay $1188.00 for a year listing. A bill was also attached. This fax came from Open Business Solutions.

After telephoning to inquire about canceling, I was told to put it in writing through any of three modes and I submitted a cancellation letter via all three: post, fax and email.

We received a response stating that we could not cancel our service because the fax was binding a binding contract that "clearly stated" the terms!

There was nothing clear about it!! The print was tiny and illegible as small print often is that is received over facsimile.

Please note that the fax number and address for Open Business Solutions is different from the fax number I sent my business corrections to. That number (after a Google search) belongs to Performance Improvement, LLC. (Who I have never spoken to or done business with), Their number was 877 946-4248.

This whole thing is obviously a scam and uses deceptive tactics. Other Open Business Solutions cases that I looked into involved credit reporting threats, legal threats and so on.

They continue to try to get money from us, even though I have cancelled and let them know I did not agree with their deceptive way of attempting to do business.  I don't even know if they have a listing service.  That may not be legit. They are a company who seeks to trick firms into signing up for their service.  Their service agreement is in the fine print at the bottom of the form.  They use advertising logos and a same similar to Yellow Pages to lead people to think they are dealing with this well-known company.
