Tim Allen Smith of Orange County Credit Services (OCCS) guarantees to repair your credit by using inside people connected to the credit bureaus. He says it will take 14-21 days and the cost can be around $600. He has you pay money into his personal account. He charged me $1250 to also change my DTI. He gives you a form to say you can get a refund of your money at any time if not satisfied. I have never received my credit report and have never been able to get my money back. It's been almost 4months now. He has several phone #'s which he uses in his different ads and 2 different addresses, which apart from driving to the addresses, I can't find them, nor is his business registered. He advertises on Craigs List and his ads sound convincing. He plays mind games on the phone constantly pretending that your credit is ready and then you don't hear anymore for another week, when he goes through the whole scenario again. I do intend to take him to small claims court and I do have a copy of his CA driving license which I made him give to me before I gave him any money.
Beware of this man and this company - they are scam artisits.

More Information

As of today have you received a refund or a response from Tim or his company? I am conducting research because I was referred to Mr. Smith by a friend who's file had notbeen completed as of yet. Before I jumped on the bandwagon I just wanted to make sure this was not a scam because it is so close to the holidays and times are hard.
Also, to the owner, why are you speaking so negatively of the clients of whom patronize you? That's not good at all from a business stand point and I am definitely havingstrong second thoughts aboutthis now.How long has the company been in business? Is there a company website? You said many negative things about the clients you want to represent, but nothing notable about your company to make your organization credible. How about adding these things so that an individual can make their own judgement based on that information.

all posted under the same account as the business owner.
Question for business owner...did you hold a party in their honor and allow them to post under your screen name?
What a phony you are...I hope potential customers read this thread to get a glimpse into your character.

First off these were letters sent from people but i couldn't find a way to upload them into this report if you know how please let me know i have hundreds of them i can upload.
- Ummm if you were being totally truthful shouldn't you have said that when you posted the "letters". But that still does not explain away why the TWO posts. You could have put both in the same post.
This site does have the ability to upload pictures. Many other people use that option quite successfully. They figured out how to scan a letter and then upload the image.
Now here is something to think about. If one could write fake reviews, what would keep that same person from writing fake letters?
You never did answer the question as to exactly what you do for the fees you charge?

To the Owner

It is great when people like your services so much that they take the time to come here to give their opinions. It is even better when they like you so much that they use your same name and city(Tim from Mission Viejo) as their user name. If one was cynical, one could say that you actually wrote those reports. But then a business that actually writes fake reviews wouldn't be that ethical now would they. Oh wait what is your business..oh yea "Credit Repair".
Now since you deal with credit reports you know that anything you can do legally a person can do for free or no more than the cost of sending a few letters. So what exactly are you charging someone $600(according to the OP) for?
Also, again according to the OP, you charge $1250 to change a person's DTI. Just how do you accomplish that? You obviously can't increase a person's income. So that leaves getting rid of their debt. Short of paying off their debt, just how do you reduce the amount of debt that they owe?

Why is the "owner of the company" writing letters like he is also a pleased consumer-see rebuttals 1, 2 and 3? What a joke!
The OP is right, it is a scam.
The only way to fix your credit is to do it yourself by paying your bills on time.
I've never heard of a different legitimate way to fix your credit.

Tim, here is a suggestion:
If you're going to post phony reviews about your company, be sure to log in to the site from a different name. Your "positive reviews" by "satisfied customers" still clearly show that they were posted by Tim from Mission Viejo, California at the top.
Posting phony reviews doesn't exactly lend to your credibility, dummy.
PS - Offers for credit repair are ALWAYS scams. The only way to repair your credit is by paying down your debts.

I used these guys last year and Tim was both helpful and quick. I hired them to clean my personal credit, they did so with professionalism and courtesy. I referred them to three of our friends both my husband and me. We only heard good things about them from our friends who also had their credit fixed by them. I would still recommend them to someone if I was to come across a person in need of their service.

you can't please everyone
AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

There are times when someone has unusual situations and those have to be dealt with in different ways. This was one of them. Even though this person received update calls etc sometimes people just want that magic wand waived. We were told by our people that the credit was completed then we were told there was an issue and there was. The issue was being worked on. But sometimes not fast enough for others. Not everyone has the same situation with their credit. Some people like the idea that they can cheat other creditors out of things but also want to try to seek things on the hand that is helping them. It is sad that this happens at times, this is the first complaint we have had in over ten years, and when you think about it, one complaint in ten years isn't bad, especially when you look at the source. Proven fact people with bad credit have it for one reason, They don't fee others are important as themselves. After all if they did the creditors would all be paid on time without excuses. Then there are those who try to take on more then they can pay, maybe its bad math on their part but none the less, they don't pay their creditors. Everyone can run into bad times, but it is what you do with those times that shows your real self. It is sad that the day this person wrote this they hurt them self, In this case this person will now never have the second chance that they wanted. This case was truly a singled out situation, We have always given the best service to all our clients and again one complaint in ten years although we stride to not receive any isn't bad. We have thousands of referrals just ask for them. Again we can't please everyone but at times people forget that they got themselves into the mess we are just helping them try to get out and get a fresh start. This particular person, well lets just say the credit spoke for itself. Oh by the way it hasn't been four months, for this persons situation. We can only hope that this person gets the help they need and that they wont screw their creditors over again, It's not likely due to situation, But we can only hope.
