Orchard Bank - HSBC North America HSBC/Orchard Bank - A Predatory Lender! Prospect Heights Illinois

I won't hide the fact that I fell behind/over my limit with an Orchard Bank Master Card account. Late fees and overlimit fees can be expected from any card holder. But to have MORE late fees assessed to your account even while the current billing cycle is still open is PREDATORY in nature and needs to be addressed by someone NOT connected to the banking industry.

Before my due date, I noticed that my balance had increased by $30.00. When I called to find out why, I was told that it is a "pipeline" charge that would "disappear" when my current month's billing was paid. Then how can it show as part of the amount "now due" before the original due date? Does this make sense to charge such a thing? In the meantime, when making an online payment, they take up to two days to post. They call it their "processing window." Yeah, right. All other copanies I do business with post same or next day, depending on time of day of submission.

These guys are crooks and they allowed to get by with it as long as they contribute to the right campaigns and the lobbyists are get your money...one way or the other!
