My husband received a check in the mail for $4250.00 and a letter stating he won in the 2nd category a prize valued at $180,000.00. The letter said to contact Mr. Bob Morris @ 1-416-887-3946, which is a different name and phone number than the others listed here: (Jfleck, PA told to contact Bob Evans 1-416-887-5603; Amy, TX told to call Bob Evans 416-887-3048. I decided not to call the phone number on the letter but to call the bank listed on the check instead. The bank was listed as National City Bank 1-888-622-4932, when I called them l I found out yes the account is real and yes there were funds available in that account. Still not feeling right about it I asked if someone could verify the check was a real check and was told to call the Counterfeit Department at 1-877-459-3435. Sadly I spoke to Lisa and she informed me the check was most definitely a fraudulent check even though the account is a valid account. She said they have several of the checks and didnt need a copy of mine.

As a coincidence my son went to the bank later where an elderly man was trying to deposit one of these checks and found out it was a fraud.
