Ottomans.com scammers, charges credit card and then never ships product or offers a refund Internet

Buyer beware! Ottomans.com is a big huge scam.

I ordered an ottoman from them last month and they immediately charged my credit card on July 17, 2008. A confirmation email stated that the product would arrive the following Wednesday. That day came and went without the product arriving. No tracking number was available, so I called them to find out what happened.

On Thursday, July 24, 2008 I was told the order was being processed and a tracking number would be available the next day.

I called on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 and an associate named Cole told me a tracking number would be provided today or tomorrow.

Clearly, the warehouse didn't have the item and they were just holding onto my money without providing any explanation as to what happened with the product. I decided to cancel the order at this time.

Called on Friday, August 1, 2008 and was told that my order would be canceled and a refund would be processed within 48 hours "if the order is approved for cancellation," i.e. the company can decide whether or not an order can be canceled. I was told I would receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.

Called on Sunday, August 3, 2008 and was told that I would receive an email confirmation on Monday the 4th or Tuesday the 5th. The warehouse isnt open on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, so theres no way we can cancel your order now. Was also told that a refund would take 7-10 business days after the confirmation of cancellation is received from the warehouse.

I highly doubt that my order will be canceled. I also doubt that I will ever see that $170 again.

I tried to put in a negative review on the Ottomans.com web site under the product I purchased... after submitting the review a little window came up that said, "all reviews are processed after our associates check them for errors." Shockingly, I went back a few days later and my review was not accepted.

Don't buy from this company!
