Ourisman Chrysler Jeep Dodge Lies and Deceitful Trade Practices Clarksville Maryland

I had just moved from Virginia to Maryland and my Virginia tags on my car were about to expire. So, I decided I was in the market for a new car. I went to multiple dealerships and was debating on ordering my car versus purchasing one off of the lot.

I was told by an Ourisman Dodge salesman they could have the car I wanted within 3-4 weeks if I were to order it. Also they promised to trade in my other vehicle. I told them that the tags were expiring and that I would need to trade it in sooner rather than later. They said that would be fine and to drop off my current car. I had at this point arranged for alternate transportation to and from work for up to 8 weeks.

I heard nothing from them for weeks. I tried contacting them multiple times through email and phone calls without reply. Not until I contacted the sales manager directly did I get an email stating that my car would not be in for another 4 weeks, but definitley by then.

At this point I chose to stop believing anything, so I contacted Dodge corporate to check my car order. (I did have an order number). They replied by first telling me my order didn't exist, but thankfully, they figured out I had been given the wrong order number.

However, this is where the real problem started. They said my car wasn't even going to enter manufacturing for another 6-7 weeks and wouldn't be delivered in less than 10 weeks. Keep in mind we are already 7 weeks from when the car was ordered.

Multiple phone calls and emails went unanswered. I found out that through connections that I knew a car wholesaler who dealt with the same dealership frequently. He went and talked to them and asked about my order. They said that my salesman had been fired (for reasons unknown). That they were going to have my old car towed because they didn't know whose it was (it was supposed to have been taken care of by now). Also he found out that they didn't have my phone number to get a hold of me.

After going in to dealership and speaking with my new salesman, who by the way was late for out 1:00pm meeting. He came back from lunch wiping his mouth at about 1:20pm. He basically just told me that he was sorry for the previous dumb salesman. That was all that he could do for me.

He offered me more expensive cars (at no discount), but said otherwise I have to wait a minimum of 8-10 weeks and it could stretch out to an additional 16 weeks making my total around 22 weeks. They wouldn't even give me my deposit back and offered me far less than I was originally quoted on my trade-in. They also lost one of the 2 keys I gave them.

They give even car salesman a bad name. While I was there another salesman bumped an already sold car with the door of another. It left a small dink. They let the guy who just bought the car drive off without informing him of what just happened.

Do not buy from this dealership!
