Ourisman Honda listed a 2010 Honda Insight on their website as being in their inventory.  This included a VIN number and stock number for the car.  A call to the internet sales manager Kwame Joseph confirmed that the car was available.  Only when time to complete the purchase agreement and make a deposit did the dealership offer up that they didnt "actually" have the car, but that it would be arriving within the next couple of days.

After putting a deposit down on the vehicle and expecting it to arrive within 48 hours, repeated calls to confirm the delivery date finally netted the true information, that the car was not in fact available and that it would be a week or more before the car would arrive.  Multiple requests to sales manager Tony Ramazani for a call back went unanswered.

Not only was this business behavior dishonest and deceitful, it was a major disruption of the car buying process and a complete waste of my time.  Steer clear of this dealer at all costs.  There is no point is dealing with people who arent honest.

Why Did You Reward a Liar?

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 16, 2009

You allege in your report this dealership LIED to you and admitted they didn't really have the car.  There is no black and white according to your report.  They flat out LIED to you!  In the Sleazy American Car Business, the dealers know the average person will simply fold and grovel even in the face of fraud, deception, poor treatment and all the rest.

This dealership CLEARLY LIED TO YOU.  Why did you continue with this transaction in the face of the pi-- poor treatment of you?  Why did you reward them for treating you like a dummy?

To any retail business YOU are like gold.  In the car business, the dealers NEED YOU...You sure as hell don't need them!  You have the money...they want your money...they need your money to survive.  Since they obviously LIED to you, according to your account of the proceedings, you should have demanded your deposit back or cancelled the check and walked out and take your business to a dealership that treats you like the VALUED customer you are!
