I responded to a Craigslist ad for a new Honda eu2000i generator. The reply directed me to an on-line store Overstockcloseoutdeals.com. This was a legitimate looking web page, and information was given on how to register and place orders. The red flag should have been the requirement to pay by MoneyPak for the first order.
An Amanda Norman sent me an e-mail with answers to questions and how to place my order which I did on Oct. 21. On Oct 22 I received an e-mail that my payment was successfully processed, and my account details showed that shipping would be by FedEx Ground. Another e-mail followed that day saying arrangements were being made for delivery. Now when I try to check on my order status, the server for this address can't be found.
It is now one week since my purchase, and I have no product nor way to contact this company. Watch out for this scam!
