Oxmoor Toyta Oxmoor Toyota lied to me about financing Louisville Kentucky

I recently purchased a Scion xB from Oxmoor. I was surprised that I even got financing because my credit is so-so. The sales associate talked me into leasing the vehicle--he claimed that my payment would be less and that I would pay less interest versus actually buying the car. He said he needed me to put $3200 towards a downpayment, but I said that all I could afford is a $1600 downpayment. He went back to the financing people, and came back to say yes, they would accept the $1600. I signed all the papers, and came back the following day to pick my Scion up.

I then received an email from Tim (Patillo) two days later, saying to contact him immediately. Supposedly, Toyota financing came back and said they wanted an additional $3000 (it apparently shows to them that I am making a commitment to the purchase of this car). I said I didn't have any more money than what I already gave them. He also said that alternatively, I could come up with a co-signer that has good credit, and then I'd only have to give them an additional $900.

I thought what I had signed with them was a legally binding contract between myself and Oxmoor; boy, was I wrong. They have no problem saying one thing when you're in there, but then turn around and say something completely different. If I was to violate my end of the agreement, they would have no problem taking the car back from me. I don't know how they can get away with this time and time again, and continue to stay in business.

I would love to file a report with the Better Business Bureau, but big surprise; Oxmoor isn't a member. I think it's high time that they were held accountable for their slimy and unscrupulous business practices.

I'm going to turn in the car and the keys tomorrow, and I can only hope that I get my money back.
