I don't know where to start except to say BE CAUTIOUS IF YOU ARE GOING  TO  BOOK YOUR WEDDING OR ANY SPECIAL EVENT WITH THIS COMPANY. My sisters wedding was ruined by this company, not only did they ruin her wedding,
they blamed the guest for all the devastating circumstances, and made  up lies to cover their own a**es. The ceremony was beautiful, BUT then the yacht crashed 3 times! with no announcement to the guest or Bride and Groom, to steady yourselves, before the yacht crashed all 3 times.
Guest were scared, and feared for their lives. The engines on the Boat went out and the Company is claiming that one of the guest pulled the Emergency shut off switch, which is located under one of the Huge couches, which is Very difficult to get to. Though before any guest were on the Boat the AC in the Bridal suite wasn't working, so apparently they were having problems way before the boat ever left the dock. The yacht company is admitting no fault and after all the commotion, the wedding ended after only 4 songs during the reception. The Bride didn't get to do her money dance and bouquet toss, and the Groom didn't get to do his garter toss.

Everyone was shocked that after all the events that took place that night, and their wedding being not only ruined, but with terrible memories of the Most Important day of their lives, the yacht company had the audacity to end the night after only 4 songs. Unfortunately everyone aboard the Ambassador that night now has negative memories and thoughts of the beautiful idea of getting married on a yacht. Since  I was in the wedding party I wasn't aware of the events that supposedly took place, but what I do know is that the crew didn't handle any of it professionally, they could have done many things different considering  what was promised in the contract, and with the events that occurred the wedding could have been "saved" by letting the reception go on a few extra hours, but now the Bride and Groom are left with many negative  memories of their wedding day.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING THIS COMPANY PLEASE REVIEW ALL THE REVIEWS, AND CONSIDER USING ANOTHER COMPANY,  YOU MIGHT REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T, I KNOW THIS BRIDE AND GROOM DEFINITELY WISH THEY WOULD HAVE RESEARCHED IT FIRST.

Facts according to whom

AUTHOR: Captain Terry - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 05, 2011

Here we go again with slanderous statements. I refer the "anonymous" author to the Orange County Sheriff and the Newport Beach Police departments to ascertain the sobriety of these guests.
Further more a call was placed to the Bride the morning after this unfortunate incident to try and explain our situation and offer our appologies in an attempt to placate her as well as her Groom.
As far as the threat to our company President, we have the gentlemans name along with a photograph of him, these are FACTS.
The air-conditioning was working throughout the yacht, however, the bride came on the vessel at 4:30pm , 1/2  hours prior to her set-up time, the generators are not fired up that early, hence the air-conditiong does not work as shore power does not produce enough amperage to run the A/C.
As far as bar running out, the bar was closed for a moment as the boat was being guided to the dock, then re-opened, at no time did we run out of alcohol in addition we adhere to all the laws pertaining to ABC regulations.
We have not addressed the fact that the groom threw a chair accross the dance floor narrowly missing 2 of our service staff, this action broke the custon chair and damaged the dance floor.
Again, we accepted his action as one of frustration, yet it could be contrude as an act od violence.

Once again, These are FACTS.

There's your problem...

how could they be when the "open Bar" ran out of Wine and Beer within the first 40 minutes of leaving the dock, 20 of those minutes were used up by the ceremony
-
"Open Bar" and Wedding = Drunk Guests.  Unless the "open bar" consisted of a couple bottles of wine and a couple cases of beer I would say that there was a pretty decent amount of alcohol consumed in that 20 minutes.  I would have to agree with the Yacht Company in that you probably did have at least a few "drunk" guests.  It only takes ONE to pull an emergency shut-off switch.

The only valid part of your complaint seems to be the fact(if it is a fact) that the A/C was not working in the suite before the ceremony.

Wedding Crashers.. THE TRUE FACTS

AUTHOR: Anoymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 05, 2011

In regards to the rebuttal written by T. Wilson, I have to say it is my opinion that he is FLAT OUT LYING, Once AGAIN. sad but true, all the events I stated in my first report are in fact true, and  I have over 100 people in agreement.  None of the guest were drunk or out of control, how could they be when the "open Bar" ran out of Wine and Beer within the first 40 minutes of leaving the dock, 20 of those minutes were used up by the ceremony.  Unfortunately when everyone boards a yacht expecting a beautiful wedding of two people whom they love and the yacht crashes not only once but 3 times, guest tend to get upset, and frustrated, especially when their is no announcement, apology or acknowledgment of what is going on while we are crashing into parked boats.  Also T. Wilson ( Terri Wilson) stated that someone made threats and pulled a knife on his company president , those are also lies, with no evidence.  The wedding was totally ruined by the yacht company, and through the entire night not one apology was made, and instead of taking responsibility for what happened  when clearly the boat was having problems Way before guest ever boarded, they continued  with the wedding KNOWING that there might be problems, and didnt say anything. Clearly the Air Conditioning wasnt working properly, due to the Bridesmaids and Bride dripping sweat in the "Bridal suite" while getting the bride ready to walk down the aisle. so to alleviate  the heat in the bridal suite they bring in an industrial fan, used for construction.

In regards to the emergency shut off valve, the Bridal party was informed of its location after the wedding was so abruptly ended after only 4 songs during the reception, which was located under a HUGE couch on the bottom floor. the notion that a guest would pull this emergency valve is absurd! its absurd and completely in error. This company is very unprofessional, the staff and crew clearly lack the competence to operate any form of vessel.

What started as a beautiful wedding, ended up a gigantic disaster, due to the gross negligence of this company. To top it all off, their false allegations against the guest accusing them of pulling the emergency switch and sabotaging the boat is completely ludicrous.

This is my last and final response, I will not be responding to any further rebuttals  in regards to this matter.

*If anyone is looking to have a wedding on a yacht there are MANY other options in the Newport area, I would suggest looking into a different company for this service.

The facts

AUTHOR: Captain Terry - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 03, 2011

It is a shame when out of control guests spoil a wedding and blame the company.
The United States Coast Guard investigated this event and concluded a guest did pull the emergency fuel shut down valve.
This caused both engine and both generators to shut down through fuel starvation.
Our company was blamed for this act of vandalism and even threatened our company president with a knife.
The Orange County Sheriff and Newport Beach Police departments assisted us in vacating the inebriated guests as a protection for our personnel.
Due to the loss of power caused by a guest, our yacht did drift into a docked vessel causing very Minor damage simply a little compound and touch up paint to the other vessel, no damage to ours.
I reiterate all Government authorities agree, we acted in a professional manner without any blame being placed on our company.
We could have filed a complaint with the Sheriff and Police for "threat with a deadly weapon" plus being a federally documented vessel we could have filed a terrorist charge against the host and hostess of this event, we elected to "let it go".
I am available for comment
