I was sent a "Pre-Approved" Platinum Equipment Lease Card, by this firm. On the Card, it stated "You have Been Pre-Approved for $100,000, and call now to Activate your Card.
The line that answers states that you have been pre-approved by your dunn and bradstreet and there is no other credit processing or qualifying needed.
This was also stated by the person whom I spoke to on the phone, then I was processed and transfered to a guy whom was alledged to be the supervisor of the guy I spoke to, and home stated that he would be handling my account forward.
I then submitted to supplying my Personal Information for "Verification" Purposes. I also proveded them with a company I was working with to purchase Equipment.
The information was provided as requested. Then I was waiting for a response to get started. They always want a "Down Payment" Upfront and have you provide your banking information, for direct removal from your account.
This information, you cannot cancel. You will need to cancel your entire bank account if someone has this information and uses it for the wrong thing. So, I was very leary, however, I did provide the information, as they knew my name, all of my information from my Dunn And Bradstreet, and even sent me a Credit Card. So, I was counting on the legitamcy of the company.
Whenever you contact them, they see your information come up when you call. Right on their computer screen, and your account pops up, and they immediately start asking you questions.
So, I provided all documentation, all signed documentation they required, and thought I would have my money produced to the seller of the equipment.
This never did happen, I lost some contracts over it, and I continued to attempt to contact the rep at the Pacific Capital Company, which I was unsuccessful to even get an email, voicemail, or other type of response from them.
I then tried calling all other numbers and tracking them down, as they had my personal information, and I wanted to find out what was going on.
I spoke to another guy who put me in touch with someone whom Identified himself as a Supervisor, and then the Vice-President of the Firm Alegedly. He stated that my rep had a death in his family, his grandfather had passed away, and that he would be back in 2 weeks. I asked if anyone else could help me as time is of the essence, and I need to get that stuff squared away. He said he would need to get back to me that day as he had a meeting to go into.
I waited, did not hear back from him, so I attempted to call back again. I was unsuccessful with reaching him as they would always say he is in a meeting, and then I would only get a transfer to voicemail, or to just tell me that he was unavailable.
This ocurred over several days and into following weeks.
So, at that time I felt they are not doing anything for me, and I would not hear from them.
Then, I recieved a call from a Telemarketer from their firm, as several months had passed, and they were asking if I was still interested in funding.
They said they would like to set me up with an account, and I asked "What happend to the one I already had?" He looked it up, and said, "oh yeah, your right here, and your good. What happend with that?" I said I was told my rep had a death in the family, and I was waiting for it to be processed.
I also informed him that that equipment had since been sold and I had a new job I was working on, and it was requiring the use of this other equipment, which I already had, however, I did need to obtain some working Capital.
He stated that it would be a done deal, and we would get it in a few days.
So, then he Re-Processed my papwork, and added a bunch of fees that were no charge on the Previous Ones, and then He fedex'd the paperwork that I signed and email back to him, to me, and then I signed and sent that back to him.
Then, I waited.
Nothing happend, so I called, and he said he would check on it and get back to me. The day passed, he did not call.
I followed up with another call into him. No, I did not get to him, got his voice mail repeadidly, so I also sent emails. Not replies whatsoever.
So, I called from a different number, then he answered. He said he would check on it. Did not return my call again.
A few weeks went by, I got back in touch with him, and he finally answered. He said, that he would check, and I said, can you do it while I hold so that we can get this pushed through, as I had not recieved calls back due to his busy schedule.
He then went to check with "Underwriting". He said "Nothing Yet".
Then I called the Following 2 Weeks,. and then I again finally got in touch with him. He stated that he was not sure what had happend as it was sent over to Underwriting. I said, well they had not sent it over to me.
Then, he said he would go over and check with them. Then he did. He said they needed to check a few things as they had it sitting there, and it was lost in the shuffle some where.
Then, while I waiting on hold for about no less than 30 minutes, he then said they were going to check some other stuff, and they were looking it over now. Then he put me back on hold, then got back on after a period of time, and said, oh, hey, you were not approved due to a ding on your personal credit for a Medical Bill.
I checked into the Ding, and it was not anything that was even mine, so it was disputed.
Then, I asked him, why would that be, if I was already "Pre-Approved" due to my Dunn and Bradstreet, and we were good to go.
He said, that since it had been a long time since I originally responded to the pre-aproval, they ran a new credit check and found that, so although they could have previously did that, then now they could not. Once it comes off or a Co-Signer Signs for you, then you would be good.
I have other credit lines and have Great Credit With those lines. I do not understand this one, however, I can tell you the customer Service Was Very Poor, Their Business Practices are Sub Par, and they seem to run around in circles. They also seek to not return calls, and it is difficult to work with them.
It does concern me about putting money down to stuff that you will not ever see back, when you will not be getting what they said in the first place, as they have Mis-Represented themselves and this product, by stating that you are pre-approved.
