I ordered latex pillows (4) from Pacific Pillows on line. They were described as standard size (20x26) and when I received them, they measured 14x22 and will not work in a standard pillow case...it's almost comical! I sent an email and a left a voicemail on their customer service number. Don't expect a response (they promise within 2 business hours)! After not hearing from them, I called and reached someone by the name of Sarah. Sarah made the following responses to me: "Well, we have never had complaints from other customers about these pillows!" and "Its hard for me to believe that they would be actually 6 inches off...you need to measure along the seam (of the cover, NOT THE PILLOW)" I suggested that she have the people in their warehouse measure the pillows themselves if she doubted me and she said she would. She told me that I could return the pillows AT MY EXPENSE but mumbled at the end of the call that she would look "up the foodchain" regarding the cost of return.
I filed a complaint later in the day on resellerratings.com regarding the problem. Apparently this complaint goes directly to Pacific Pillows and Sarah called me immediately. She was loud, unapologetic and stated that she needed to defend herself. Further, she stated that our phone conversation from before was recorded and would be listened to by her manager. Perfect. She could no longer deny what she said to me. She would not give me a chance to respond because of her yelling at me. Every time I tried, she would just start yelling again.
BOTTOM LINE: THIS COMPANY MISREPRESENTS WHAT THEY SHOW ON LINE (AND I WONDER IF THEY KNOW IT SINCE THEY INSIST THE CONSUMER PAY THE COST OF THE RETURN). I doubt most people will bother with the hassle that I have encountered today. I paid 183.00 for these pillows...I will pay to ship them back UPS. Not a problem! I will continue to do everything in my power to make the truth known however. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE...MAJOR RIPOFF!
