Despite their guaranteed refund policy, Pacific Trading Academy refused to refund our money when we tried to cancel within the 30 days allowed. They wanted only to give us other services in trade, and when we refused that, they just didn't bother to return our money.
After complaining to the BBB about them, we got several calls from PTA, but NONE of those calls resulted in refunding the money.
Each time a PTA representative called, the call ended the same way, with the PTA representative making excuses that "they weren't the person who could authorize the refund"... and the person who WAS authorized never materialized.
After months had gone by, we got yet another call from PTA and when my husband said he did not want to do business with PTA, the representative got snotty and passive aggressive - saying "oh, so you don't want a refund" and then hung up.
These folks are cheats and liars. And the tutoring services were INCOMPETENT (which was why we cancelled the contract well within the 30 day allowance). $2000 lost. BEWARE of Pacific Trading Academy.

Being CEO of Pacific Trading Academy for 14 years, I have had over 6000 students go through my program. We have created more professional traders than any other program in America. This is a strange complaint because before any student signs up for our program, they must sign an enrollment agreement that clearly states this is a non refundable program. Every person who joins our program and receives our services go through a screening process to make sure our services are a right fit for them...and us.
This complaint was written by the wife of a student. It says so in the complaint and that is very unfair to the reputation of my company. It is on the same lines as our competition posting negative reviews about us. And the last issue I will address concerning this is the fact that our 800 line is always working and the only representative of this company that answers phone calls and handles any issues are myself or my General Manager...and both of us are really nice guys who treat people the way we want to be treated...with respect. Call us anytime and I will prove my point.
