Packey Webb Ford, Chris Shuman, John Webb not giving money to employee for referring family member to buy Mustang Downers Grove Illinois

While working for Packey Webb Ford I referred my mom to purchase a new Mustang from the dealer. At the time, she was talking with other Ford dealerships that were 45mins closer to her house.

The Mustang she was to be purchasing was in another state. The dealership she was in talks with was ready to do a dealer trade to purchase the car so she could purchase from them. I had to go online in my own time at home to locate the car at the other dealership in the other state.

I took the information and gave it to the finance/sales manager I was working with at the time, Chris Shuman, and he initiated the dealer trade. At that same time, he had one of the new car salesmen contact me about my parents and the car, so I gave him the update that the trade was already being initiated.

A few days later my parents took the hour drive to Packey Webb and purchased the Mustang, understanding that Packey Webb was going to at least match the other dealers offer, and that I was to get commission on the sale too.

A few weeks after the purchase was done, I still hadn't seen a cent of commission or referral. I talked with Chris Shuman about it, and he told me that he had submitted it to the owner of Packey Webb Ford, John Webb.

Not long after I had asked Chris about this, he laid me off due to lack of work, and I still hadn't seen a cent. So a couple weeks later I call him again and he tells me the same story, that he had submitted it to John Webb. So I call over to the new car lot and talk to the sales manager there, Todd Budish (sp). Todd told me that Chris had kept the deal under his own name, and was not in the name of the other salesman who had talked to me previously about this.

Now, going on five months later, I still haven't seen a cent. Any time my mom calls in to talk to either Chris Shuman or John Webb, she is told that they are either "out of the office" or "busy with a customer". I know these are lies, and so does she. And this is where we stand today. Not a cent has come to me like was promised, and we can never get a hold of anyone to resolve the issue. When messages are left, the calls are never returned.
