Subject: FIRST NATIONAL COLLECTION BUREAUS

I RECEIVED A LETTER TODAY STATING I OWED $250.81 TO AT&T AND IT WAS IN COLLECTIONS.

I CALLED 800-824-6191 AND SOME GUY ANSWERED. I DID NOT LET HIM TALK BUT INSTEAD TOLD HIM I HAD "NEVER" HAD A DELINQUENT ACCOUNT WITH AT&T AND THEIR NOTICE WAS FRAUDULENT AND FAKE AND IT WAS BEING TURNED OVER THE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE DEPT OF COMMERCE AND INSURANCE IN TENNESSEE WHO REGULATES COLLECTION BUREAUS.

HE STARTED TO TALK AND I TOLD HIM TO HAVE A NICE DAY AND HUNG UP. I EMAILED AT&T AND RECEIVED AN IMMEDIATE WRITTEN REPORT ABOUT MY ACCOUNT SINCE 2003 WHICH HAD NEVER BEEN IN DELINQUENT CONDITION OR TURNED OVER FOR COLLECTION.

THIS FNCB IS USING BIG CORPORATIONS LIKE AT&T TO SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY. AND THEY ARE ALSO CALLED PALISADES COLLECTION, LLC

I received the following message from AT&T after I investigated the validity of the Collection Notice.   The SOL for such debts in Tennessee is 6 years.
Dear Mr. W,

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail AT&T regarding a recent collections letter you have received. I apologize for the frustration this has caused you. My name is Sarah Rudd, and I am happy to help you with your inquiry.

I reviewed your account and our systems for anything concerning a past due account in your name and was unable to locate a wireless account other than your existing account which is current and has never been suspended or canceled for a past due balance since it was opened in 2003.

Unfortunately, we are unable to contact collection agencies on behalf of the customer as they will need your personally identifiable information that we do not have access to. The collection agency will be able to give you more information regarding this account.

Mr. W, I hope that the information provided has been helpful and has resolved all of your questions. Should you have additional concerns or questions about this issue please reply to this email. If you need to contact us again regarding a new issue please send us another email via the contact link through your online account. Again, my name is S. R., and I thank you for being a valued AT&T customer for several years. We will do our best to ensure that your wireless experience is a success.

I encourage you to visit our web site (www.att.com/wireless) often to view current and previous monthly statements, make payments and to shop for new product and service offerings.

Sincerely,

S. R.
