It took two months of trying to purchase a car from this establishment before I thought everything was well. After signing a contract I was told my finance company was Wells Fargo. At first it seemed as the salesperson was helpful. Even allowing a 2 week hold on a check for my down pymnt. But all hell broke lose since.

All during the first month they started asking for more money down, more references. Standard procedure I was told... then no response until I contacted the salespeople. My temp tag was expired and I hadn't received my tag. I was told they needed me to come in which I did.

Once I was there I was told the paperwork hadnt been filed, that I shouldnt be upset because I had the car without making a payment. I explained that I have SR 22 insurance and I have to have correct information on file. I was given a paper tag and sent on my way.

Two weeks later I was called by the sales lady that sold me the car that they (finance department) have been trying in contact with me. All of which is a lie. They never made one attempt via any media. She says they will come and get the car. I provided further info as requested and was told everything was ok. Then a week later I got two laters from different creditors denying my request for a loan.

So i am now the owner of a car with no financing. I called and was told that I again needed further information on file. I explained that I have given them all that I can provided(which was more than I should have) and if they can't find financing that I would be more than willing to return the car. That I am tired of the threat of repossesing the car when I have done everything they have asked.

Well, I was asked to come down to place again and was given a second paper tag and was told that all paper work had been completed. I had a new contract and that my loan was for a shorter term and lower monthly! Wow!! Three weeks later I had my tag but no statements for my car. I was told by the finance department that I was now financed by Drive Financial.

I had to call my insurance company and give them information but PBT had no information saying that I would receive a packet in the mail. Well... I got that last week... 6 days before payment due!!
And its not even a statement book but a letter with information with payment options. I put the companies name in and This Web site came. Ironically, the same site that I was reporting my poor car buying experience. I think they are scamming me... but that remains to be seen. Be weary of Palm beach Toyota.

I would say that if you are financed with Drive Financial, then the reason it took them so long to obtain financing for you is because of your very poor credit situation. If you pay your bills, you will not have problems obtaining financing. Also, it would seem that you recieving your statement 6 days before your payment was due would have more to do with the bank then the dealer.
