Palmentere Brothers Tirned in a false DAK report--said they corrected it--but did not Kansas City, Missouri

My wife and I went to work for Palmentere Brothers Cartage Service, Inc in Mo. as Team drivers. The company put us in a brand new truck and trailer and our nightmare began. Mo. does not give temporary tags to new vehicles(trucks--we were told) and our odyssey of terrible luck began.

All Scale Houses and DOT that see a truck and trailer without a lic. plate WILL pull it over. We were stopped or pulled around back 22 times to get checked out. This would usually mean checking the equipment on a "hot sheet", running the serial numbers, and checking the driver(s), even thru NCIC.

The company took our transportation fees to get to orientation out of our check, said it was a mistake, and we never got a refund, even though we were told they paid for the travel.

The company was running us as a solo truck. 400 mile runs, 350 mile runs, a layover, then a 500 mile run. They kept telling us it would get better and it never did. I told them we wanted a load back to Kansas City to quit. They gave us a load to Tx for time off and said they would load us to Kansas City. They offered us a load going farther North and we did not want it but was assured we could drop it at the yard. I confirmed this with the lead dispatch and we took the load.

We brought the truck and trailer to Kansas City, backed it up to the company dock at their address,locked it up, and quit. The company we hired onto knew of our problems and provided buss fair to their main office and we hired on. When we changed jobs to hire onto Swift I was informed that Palmentere Brothers had turned in a negative report.

I called DAK, sent a rebutal, and Palmemter Brothers straightened it up with Swift(I hired on) and said they would fix the DAK report. Years later I recently applied for another job and not only did Palmentere Brothers NOT fix the DAK report, DAK did not send the rebutal with their report to the new company. I am dealing with this now.
