Palmetto Family Practice Double charged for medical services. Williamston South Carolina

I was in a car accident in Oct. 2007. I start going to Palmetto Family Practice for injuries that I had received. The office asked me for my personal medical insurance and the insurance that would be covering my bills. I started noticing charges that was going to my medical insurance. When I ask the office why they were chargeing my personal insurance company they said it was so they could receive payment until I was released and then when I was released I would recieve this money back. I then called my insurance company to stop them from making any more payments, but they had already paid $986.00 to Palmetto Family Practice for services. When I was released from the doctor I contacted GMAC car insurance company to let them know to make payment to Palmetto Family Practice for medical service that were recieved. The young lady that was handleing my case let me know that they were making payment to both my insurance company and the doctors office. She then told me to contact the doctors office about the $986.00 that the insurance company had paid. When I contacted them the lady in the office she told me that no payment were ever recieved, however I have recieved insurance statements saing they had made payments. Now I tried several time to contact Palmetto Family Practice and let messages and they will not return my calls. They have also charged my new insurance for medical service recieved since Jan. 2008 and they still claim to have not recieved payment.
