I received a notice from the community manager stating I am in violation of the Community Rules and Regulations. I was notified that I needed my Skirt Guard to the bottom of skirting to cover holes plus preventing future damage. My first notice was given to me in December 2012 giving 90 days notice to fix the problem I spoke to the maintance manager I notified him I will have the problem corrected as soon as I am finacially able around the first or second month of the year of 2013. My problem is I feel I am being single out to have this matter done ASAP. I was notify that they could assist me with the problem with a fee of 150.00. I understand the rules of the Palmetto Palms but I feel there are other mobile homes in the park that is in need of assisting than forcing eviction on me and other homes are far worst than mines. I am not giving me enough time to straighten the problem. Today I went to pay my Lot rent and made a concern to the community manager that I have been seeing a lady by the name of Penny helping the United States Postal Service carrier distributing the communties mail. I comlaint about this problem because I have not been getting mail that has been returned and getting other communites mail. The manager Andy stated yes we have been getting complaints from the residents about this as well and insisted that this is not his fault and that I should take it up with the Postal Service. I stated It is also Palmetto palms problem because they know about it and they should address it by notifing the postal service the problem. The manager was very unprofessional about it stating this does not effect Palmetto palms and I needed to take this problem up with the Post Office. When I arrived home from work today I find another notice on my door stating if I donot have this problem with the skirting they will be taking legal action. Again I would take this a retaliation due to my concern for not getting my mail or getting others because again there are alot of lots with worst condition with other lots that needed addressing years ago causing an eye sore to the community with not skirting or guards and alot of debrie in there yards and grass growing like a forest that needed addressing and folks having other violation that live around me that needs serious attention. I have been living here at Palmetto Palms for almost 19 years without no problems with management I am also a mortgage owner from Palmetto palms when It was first Clayton Estates Mobile home Park. This is really causing me unecessary anxiety. I will have my problem taking care of but I would like the community managment to focus on those who are more in serious violations than harrass me about a simple problem I can take care of than them trying to make a profit on me and not take care of the other violations that causes the park to be an eye sore with debrie and grass not cut and lots of beer cases lying about like a ghetto.

In regards to the first complaint, this resident had concerns because we requested she repair the exterior of her home to meet company standards. Unfortunately this was a misunderstanding, we completed an entire community audit and put notices out to over 200 residents requesting they complete various items on the exterior of the home such as, skirting repair, skirt guard, exterior siding repair, pressure wash, roof repair, yard cleaning, lawn mowed/weedeated etc. This letter went to every resident in the community that's home site needed attention. We gave everyone 90 days to make the needed repairs and even offered a resident payback program to help ease the financial burden. YES! Communities is proud to offer a clean and enjoyable environment for all it's residents and guests and must take corrective action to continually improve and maintain our community.
To address the second concern; there was an issue with the United States Postal service carrier allowing another resident to help put the mail in the resident boxes. My Assistant Manager, Ken and I personally spoke with the carrier about this and even called the postmaster general with the complaint. We tried to explain this to the resident, as well as advised her to file her own complaint on top of our complaint so that action may be taken sooner. Since then the post office did discuss with their employee (POSTAL CARRIER/WORKER) and the problem has been resolved.
This particular resident is a long-term resident and is still living in the community.
We in no way want to cause any undue stress or burden on any of our residents but must keep our communities clean and neat so that all residents are PROUD to call Palmetto Palms home!
