I won an auction from this company, which I paid for on October 6, 2003, through paypal. I paid using a bank draft. I bought a cd-rw drive, which I received in mid-October. It did not work. I had to email the company approximately 15 times and they were EXTREMELY uncooperative in providing what they call tech support, which is actually stalling and refusing to replace defective products. I finally got them to agree to take it back for a replacement, which, as of January 20, 2004, I have yet to receive.
I have entered into direct negotiation through the squaretrade site, but they are no longer communicating. they say that because i filed a buyer complaint through the paypal site, i am eligible for a chargeback and they will not ship the product until this is no longer the case, which they say will be another six to 12 months.
I have repeatedly informed them that not only did I not file for a chargeback, but a buyer complaint, which is completely different, but also that I paid with a bank draft, not a credit card, which makes me ineligible for a chargeback anyway. they are no longer responding to my requests to resolve the situation. they have my money and i have no cdrw drive. it has been over three months. there is no phone number to call them.

The problem with this customer was resolved. The only reason for the brief delay in being able to make refund was because the customer had done a credit card chargeback of the transaction, and we needed to verify that there would not be a double refund. We then sent a refund check to this customer which went uncashed, and then issued a replacement refund check to this customer, which she did cash. We tried very hard to serve this valued customer and resolve her problem, and she has a refund in full. We thank this customer for her patience.
