Me and my family moved into pangea apartments ONLY because we were in a desperate situation and had very little time and money to find a place for ourselves and our children, at the time one of our children ( the oldest) wasnt living with us which made it easier for us to rent this apartment, it is a two bedroom apartment but we have all boys and the two smaller ones share a room, so thinking about our situation of desperation at that time we were happy to have a place for ourselves and our children. and greatful that we were able to have a decsent place to live for the winter months.

we moved in oct. 2014 and soon after we noticed many things that were wrong not only with the apartment but with the entire community, thankfully the maintenance they have on staff for the most part does their jobs in a timely manor so in that case we have no issues,but as for the outside of the community as well as the types of people they choose to rent to is in my opinion of the worst kinds of trash you can imagine, of course it was still winter at that time so as usual you dont see a whole lot during that time of year.

as the warm months rolled in we noticed more and more bad about this place, and here are some examples...1rst the children are rude, racist, violent, and trashy which leads one to believe the parents are in the same boat, but they are allowed to run free all over the community and say and do what ever they wish with out consequences from any adult including their own parents, my childen were at first allowed to go outside to the park and play but the same children that live here are the same children my children go to school with and have had racial issues from day one.

we contacted the schools and after awhile it seemed to calm down, then as the days progessed the warmer days brought out all the bad that this community has to offer or that was hidden from us due to cold whether, as we first pulled into the community before moving in we noticed signs in the lime green pangea color stating NO GAS bill ...NO WATER bill, so that was a bonus for us compared to where we had lived previously.

after moving in about 2 days after we kept hearing loud bangs coming from next door and it went on all day and most of the night, so we complained, nothing happened, we tried to keep to opurselves and not associate with our neighbors so not to have issues that we previously had in other apartments, and even though we were having noise complaints we would wait til the end of the month when we payed our rent to compain, come to find out the guy that lived next door was a drug dealer which is why we were hearing the loud bangs we was hearing at all hours, it was his front door slamming shut every 10 to 15 minutes all day and all night.

so after numerous complaints they finally made this guy move, i was under the assumption he was evicted, but NOOOO!! instead of them doing the right thing and getting rid of tenants with numerous violations like a good landlord would do, they simply moved him to another unit, for awhile after that we had no other issues with noise but the maintenace issues started to come due to whomever the previous maintenace crew was , they did what i call a crap hack job on every aspect of this unit.

from everything from the stove and frig being of the cheapest lowest quality appliances they could find to the slab job they did on the carpet, being from a background of constuction and maintenace myself as well as having done many other aspects of apartment and housing repair including carpet i know a crap job when i see one, they didnt even have enough respect for the tenants to place padding under the carpet or even baseboards or tack strips , its all just thrown together, which is the biggest reason they get so many noise complaints, padding under the carpet would greatly reduce the sounds of walking and other noises ( not completely)

the vents hadnt been cleaned out in what looked like years to the point that very little flow would come through at any given time, the windows and balcony door had not been replaced in years as well, the windows has mold growing around them due to moisture build up and when you complain about it they send the maintenance out to scrape it off with a paint scraper and spray it down with bleach and leave and all that does is bandaid the problem, the balcony door was so raggedy that so much cold air would come though it that their might as well not been one on it at all, but as i had previously stated the maintenace at that time was johnny on the spot when we called them with an issue so for that reason i dont have anything bad to say, at least they try to resolve the issue..

around the summer of 2015 our balcony door was replaced as well as many other small issues we had were all taken care of, but then they rented out the apartment next door to some one, apparently they rented it to a single guy so we were ok with that at first, then we find out this guy has about 5 kids and the childrens mother staying with him periodically who are the worst of the worst as far as tenants, of course the blame in the end belongs with the parents as far as the children are concerned, if the parents are trash and disrespectful then the kids will fall in place.

so here we go again with the door being slammed all day and night and in most cases what seemed like every few minutes it was opening and slamming shut, then to top it off one of the most disgusting things a man or woman can do in public is spit on the ground, but this guy takes it to a whole nother level, he hockers his chest flem all over the steps that me my wife and children have to use to get down stairs, and whats worse is that he waits til he either comes up the stairs to go into his apartment or when he is leaving and our doors are two feet fron one another and he stands right in front of my door and does it, i am usually in the front room at that time eating or watching t.v. and its like he is right in the room with me....its disgusting and down right  disrespectful.

but this time unlike the last we have complained at least a half of dozen times about this tenant and nothing has been done, besides his disgusting ways he throws bags of trash right outside his door, on one occassion he sent his kids out to take the garbage out and the bag broke and they dropped a lot of garbage on the sidewalk along with a milk contaner with rotted disgusting milk in it and just left it there, the last time we complained on this guy was in feb 2016 the day after we complained on him our windows nin our car were smashed out and after filtering through the facts of who it could have been we came to the conclusion that it was most likely him or someone he knew, maybe someone he had do it, either way we were sure it was him but with out solid evidence to back it up we had to take our lumps and move on.

after a few weeks we were forced to sell that car due to all the damage to it from normal wear and tear and the windows being smashed out, then the lady across the way from us her apartment was broke into and robbed blind, she comes back from visting her sick mother to find everything she owned was gone,then shortly after that, maybe within a few days we get hit with a water bill of 30 extra dollars a month on top of notices stating our rent was goin up as well, we had plans of moving out at the end of the year to find a house but then we get a notice on our door stating that we needed to come get the new parking sticker and we had replaced our sticker twice since moving in here, unfortunately we had two vehicles when we moved in a suv and a small car so we had two parking stickers, but like most documents you sign , if you dont read and comprehend all aspects of said document and you sign anyway then you are held by those standards, apparently every year they make you get a new sticker for your cars, and if you dont get it or if you forget to renew, they have a deal worked out with a city towing company that comes around and night and sneaks around with flash lights like the theaves they are and looks for cars that that they either dont see the sticker or who doesnt have one at all, like maybe a visitor, a family member or a friend who is staying the night, and when they wake up their car is gone and they have to pay 60 buckss out of pocket to get their car back, i wonder how much kick back pangea or at least the management is getting of those fees.

so here it is 2016 the beginning of the year  i just got my taxes back and have enough money to move into a better place but unfortunately all of the descent places in this township are gone, and i have a month to come up with a place otherwise i will have to pay an extra 50 dollars for rent going month to month,and at first 530 was the rent until the water bill started then it went up to 560 and with a month to month deal on top of the rent hike over 600 dollars for this raggedy crappy two bedroom apartment with a disrespecrful, trashy, noisy neighbor, the aparment thrown together like a cardboard box in an alley, and surrounded by people selling oranges, cars and motorcycles racing , horns going off all day and night, and i just recently found out we have mice ( more than one) and i forgot to mention earlier that when speaking with the staff about the new parking sticker, we find out that we have to return the old sticker in order to get the new one, and if you recall i told you about my car windows being smashed out earlier, well we had to get the windsheild replaced and by doing so they took out the old one and replaced it with the new, and the parking sticker went with the old window, and now they are trying to charge us a hundred dollars for that peice of plastic, and last but not least the roads in this community have large pot holes that they just throw a patch on it and go on, this realestate company and its staff are some greedy scumbags and oh yea they will smile and bei polite but at the same time try to suck the life out of you, and these apartments are in my opinion the worst of the worst, they arent worth the price they are asking for them, specially with what all you have to put up with, but the one thing they know for sure is once you move in THEY GOT YOU!!,....so BEWARE AND DONT RENT FORM THESE SCUM!!!
