Rebateshq.COM; Parago, Inc rebate scam operation El Paso Texas

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to file my complaint against Parago Inc (www.rebatesHQ.com) regarding a $40 Mail in Rebate on McAfee Total Protection 3 User at Office Depot I did not receive.

In December of 2007 I purchased McAfee Total Protection 3 User at Office Depot that also included a promotional offer of $40. I prepared all the required rebate documents and made copies of them before I sent them to Parago. I received their confirmation email on 12/11/2007 for my submission, which also included a link to check my rebate status. At that time, my rebate status was valid and it didn't mention any missing documents. Since then, I haven't heard from them.

However, when I recently checked my rebate status to see why they haven't sent me a rebate check for so long, I found that they changed my rebate status to invalid, citing Missing Purchase Location. This excuse is ridiculous, because the purchase location was written on the rebate request form and a store receipt was attached to the rebate request form, which my electronic dated copies can clearly prove.

When I called them and argued with them, they just claimed that the rebate promotion has been closed and they cannot access my record any more. In addition, they failed to explain why they didn't email me or send me a postcard when they stealthily changed my rebate status from valid to invalid. It is pretty evident that this may be a scam operation and the general public should be aware of it.

I have read the other complaints on the internet concerning parago rebates and I would like to add my complaint to the list.
