paramax He ripped me off by lying to me and selling me a piece of junk surround sound Daytona Beach, Florida
*Consumer Comment: Funny..
I was approached by this guy in a cvs parking lot. he had a green chevy suburban. he claimed that his company had to get rid of brand new merchandise for cheap since they had ordered to much of it. he seemed nice and it all seemed legit. the box was unopened and he opened it up to show me that the equipment was all there. it all seemed like a good deal until i got home and started reading some scam reports of the same thing happening to other people. i haven't tried out the speakers yet but i don't know if i should or if i should try to resell them and get my $260 back

- Really? So please tell us what seemed "legit" about a guy approching you in a parking lot trying to sell you speakers cheep out of the back of an SUV, giving you a reason that they ordered too much?
Just be honest with yourself and others. These people rely on greed, and you got scammed because you were greedy. You saw such a "great deal" that your common sense just went out the window.
As for re-selling the speakers, exactly what story are you going to tell the next person. Are you going to tell them the truth in that you bought these speakers out of the back of an SUV and when you got home you realized it was a scam. Yea..I am sure that will go over real well.
From what I have read the speakers work, but are of a lesser quality. So perhaps you should hook them up to remind yourself that if it "sounds" too good to be true..it probably is.
