My car was involved in an accident. I have AAA plus coverage with 2 other services. A tow truck came to the scene and offered to tow. I asked if there was a charge and the response went like this:

Tow:It depends, where would you like the vehicle taken?

Me:Park Place Dealership near Lemmon Ave.

Tow:I work there, I can take it there.

Me:Will there be a charge?

Tow:No, the dealership will pay for it.

Me:Okay, then go ahead.

Tow:Well, I actually have another car to pickup and will not take it until the morning, is that okay?

Me:Sure, that's fine.

Tow:I may have to drop it off at one of our lots near my house and pick it up in the morning and take it to the location near you.

Me:Fine.

Now comes the involvement of both Alberto Herrera and his supervisor Eric McKenzie........Alberto responded that the car would be totalled in which I responded:

Me:Fine, I will just donate it to a cause aptly titled Cars for Kids

Alberto:Well, there is a charge for the tow.

Me:Why would there be a charge and why would I not be apprised PRIOR to the tow?

Alberto:Let me speak with my supervisor and get back to you.

ENTER ERIC MCKENZIE
Eric: I understand you want to donate the car.

Me:Yes

Eric:Well we have an outstanding bill for $750....

Me: For what?

Eric: The tow.

Me: Why would there be a charge when I was told it would be free, and why would it be $750? That is ludicrous! I informed Eric of the conversation with his tow truck driver and he could care less.

OH YEAH:THE REASON FOR THE 2 TOW CHARGES, THE DRIVER WAS TOO LAZY TO TAKE IT THERE AT NIGHT, BUT ALSO DECIDED TO CHARGE ME FOR 2 DIFFERENT TRIPS.

First and foremost, How could ANY tow cost $750? 20 miles away.....

Second, why would the tow driver represent that it would be free?

(YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT PARK PLACE PRIDES ITSELF ON ITS CUSTOMER SERVICE and never charges to tow anything if you have done business with them-which I have for years!!!

After much argument with both parties, I called the previous owner of Park Place, in which he responded that Eric would handle it.

Well, Eric, you didn't handle it, i refuse to do business with Park Place anymore, and you just cheated a charity out of a car that they could use. Park Place is NOTHING like what it represents and I have told everyone i know how horribly they handled my situation!

I wouldn't buy a car from these crooks if they were the only delaer in town-HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

By the way, this whole process took WEEKS!
