Buyer beware. They will not return defective parts. I ordered a part for my double oven and it did not work. Tried to return it and Part Dr. says no way if the part has been installed. I ask how would you know it's defective and didn't work if you hadn't installed it. Their response that's our policy. Do not order from this company.

Reading!?!

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, November 27, 2013

What is this READING you speak of?? This is a unknown concept to the standard consumer. All sarcasm aside it falls on the consumer to read ALL of the return policy. NOT just what may pertain to them or their immediate situation. No this person FEELS they have been ripped off because due to the return policy of this company, they can not return it. Obviously this is considered "unfair" to this person. Well its not the companies fault neither did this company rip this consumer off. When is the American consumer going to wise up??

I see it all the time. The consumer assumes that when they make a return, that they can bring it back in ANY condition and get their money back. They think that THEY are not held to the standards that EVERYONE else has to follow. The self entitled nature of the american consumer really sickens me. I mean wasnt there a time when people actually took responsability for their purchases? Wasnt there a time when someone purchased something and THEY KEPT IT!!!! I see so many people turning retail outlets into "rentals". For some odd reason they feel its perfectly ok to use something for 30 days and then bring it back and they DEMAND their money back. And when a retail outlet says NO to them, the retail outlet is the bad guy. The retail outlet is called a ripoff or a scammer. When the reality is that the consumer is the scammer 9 times out of 10.

This poster falls into this catagory. Had they READ the TOS or the RETURN policy they would have seen that they wouldnt be able to return the item. This poster is just a child and shouldnt be allowed to buy ANYTHING until they go back to High School and take economics all over again. Odds are pretty good that the part that was sent was 100% perfect, just not the fix to their problem. So instead of keeping the item on hand in case they actually needed it, they say its "defective" when its probably not defective at all.

Yet another of the American Consumer scams at work. They THINK if they say its defective that ppl will just fold and give them money back. Retail outlets have gotten smart, they no longer buy "Its Defective" anymore. That term has been abused to no end. NOW they TEST the products and demand that the customer show wherte there is a defect. If there isnt one, then they tend to keep the money AND the product. Why?? Because they use it to punish those people who wish to lie and scam.

Here's what their Return Policy is..didn't you check this before ordering?

WHAT WE WILL NOT RETURN:

  • Electrical or Gas parts (includes gas conversion kits)
  • Used or installed parts
  • Discontinued parts
  • Special order or backorder items
  • Manuals
  • Water Filters
  • Outer/Inner tubs, transmissions, or cooktops

ELECTRICAL PARTS:

All sales on electrical parts are final upon shipment.  Electrical parts include, but are not limited to control boards, timers, motors, compressors, switches, and more.  Uninstalled electrical parts will only be exchanged for a like part (ie: motor for a motor).

INSTALLED PARTS:

Items that have been sent to us for return that have been installed will not be returned to the customer.  An electrical part is considered installed if  the harness or wires have been connected to it, even if power has not  been applied to it.  A gas part is considered installed if the gas line  has been hooked up to it, or if the electrical connector(s) have been  hooked up to it.

Right or wrong, it IS their policy and most parts sellers have similar polilcies.
