Regarding Lewisville Halloween USA (Party City)
District manager and Regional Manager fired the store manager for several reasons of which the company made perfectly clear.
Store manager was terminated after store manager called the police on a harassment suspect.
District manager obstructed the investigation by refusing to give police identity information to help police arrest suspect, where suspect was a recently discharged worker. Discharged for harassing text and threatening phone calls to store manager and other workers.
District manager did no investigation, just started firing people.
District manager also did not deny that the store manager was terminated for having hired an older gentleman. Store manager was told during training to hire mostly college age kids to get more work out of them without complaints. The companies view during training was 'You should not have very many older applicants anyway, you want a younger staff to appeal to our younger customers.'
Demanding district and regional manager's resignations are in order.
